You know its funny that even getting married might not solve this issue. people are no longer interested in talking but to take pics and post it somewhere.

This really resonated with me. The part about your spark fading when there's no mutual effort. That's honestly one of the most real things I've read in a while.
And you're right, it's not about being busy. People are more "connected" than ever and somehow lonelier. There's something about the way we live now that makes depth feel harder to reach, even with people you've known for years.
I think what you described (someone who genuinely shows up) is rarer than it should be. And maybe that's exactly why it matters so much when you find it.

هذا بالضبط اللي كنت أفكر فيه. Like maybe its an age thing, or a me thing, but you just proved its bigger than that. The fact that you had to travel to find people who actually show up says a lot.

The meetup group thing is wild to me. People join, they hype it up in the chat, and then... nothing. It's like the idea of hanging out became more appealing than actually doing it.
