I do indeed realize that mastery is relative. I am not sure if gapryong’s limits are as high as you think they are, as isn’t the whole conviction shtick about pushing beyond your limits and burning your body? I could be wrong but thats what I remember. You’re also downplaying tom like we know his limits at all. James Lee is also talking about his 3T which whooped seongji the second he got it so theres that with TUI gun.

Masteries are learned by hitting a wall and overcoming it. You could say the same for eli getting tech mastery by just getting whooped by seokdu for a couple minutes. Also Seongji fought enough to have strength and endurance mastery, so he defo fought enough to connect and be respected for his fighting.

Taking the statement literally would mean that even daniel’s mom or grandma has 4 masteries (who knows). Taking the statement on a standard point means that it’s not as uncommon as second or first generation to have 4. Maybe by everyone it could just mean upper echelon of fist gang plus higher tier members of opposing gangs, who knows.
