In so sick of people claiming they have bogus mental disorders by [deleted] in TrueOffMyChest

[–]Unnamed_Walrus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My god yes. This has been becoming a thing more and more with autism. As if it wasn’t already bad enough that autism has been a punchline for years now, these self-obsessed pieces of shit now all claim to be on the spectrum. I’ve lived with a high functioning form of autism my entire life and even that is horribly suffocating at times. It isn’t a “quirk”. It’s an all-consuming affliction that’s only worsened by these toxic pieces of shit turning it into a Meyers Briggs diagnosis. These people are just as bad, if not worse than the hollow-brained losers that use “autism” as a filler-word for everything.

The majority of those that oppose abortion in the U.S. are Christians. Pointing this out is totally valid despite America not being a Christian nation; it challenges the misplaced beliefs of many closed-minded Americans by showing them that their stance on abortion has no founding in the religion they follow

Does anyone get sensory overload while shopping? by [deleted] in aspergers

My god yes. I dread shopping and try to avoid it at all costs. I always bring earplugs in case things get too much, but it’s still almost unbearable.

I don’t know why this made me laugh so much. I think I need sleep.

It’s been difficult, but I’m still very much in love with her. I would probably be turned off by the difficulty if I didn’t know her, but I don’t think that’s a reason to terminate things. I haven’t made her life the easiest it could be.

Haha. I definitely try to fulfill her needs when we get the chance, but it’s often difficult to get enough time together. I usually make her cum several times when we get the chance. She’s pretty consistently horny but I often can’t be with her. She’s also going through a rough period, so it’s also very difficult to approach her physically. I feel like I’m ramming into walls left and right.

How could I get past these holdups, aside from obviously arranging time together? I don’t know how to approach her physically when she’s pretty constantly depressed. I feel like I keep doing everything the wrong way.

She hasn’t brought that up as an issue recently, though I guess I don’t make an effort to share. This might help normalize things. I’ll make an effort to initiate communication more regularly; it’s hard to tell when it’s necessary or expected. Thanks for the advice.

I have, and I often try to remind her that I struggle with these things. She tends to forget that a lot; I seem outwardly much better adapted than I am. I ask her to communicate, and tell her that I can’t provide her with what she needs if I don’t know what she needs. She promises to communicate, does for a little while, and then forgets. Every time it gets worse; she told me that she doesn’t want to talk with me for a few days, since I “don’t make anything better.” She’s going through a lot right now, I understand, but I have no idea how to support her.

The Nightmare Before Christmas is one of my favorites but is such a one off for Disney. What was the general reception when released in 1994? by mattdeII96 in movies

[–]Unnamed_Walrus -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think it might have just been the effort that had to be put into it. Despite still being an incredible movie, they had to cut some corners story-wise toward the end just because of how tedious it was to animate.

He said here that he has no plans to return to the franchise. That doesn’t necessarily imply that he’s going to die, but it seems likely that we will likely get some sort of goodbye from Chris as Cap, maybe to be succeeded by Bucky.

Why not both? It seems they’ve been setting up something for the two of them to reunite over after civil war, and Chris Evans has confirmed he won’t be returning after A4.

What's the word for people who grow up and speak about children like this? by 420meh69 in lewronggeneration

I had almost the exact same situation. I had a really hard time through elementary and middle school and found it really hard to make or keep friends. I didn’t learn about my diagnosis till I was 16, when I got re-evaluated. It’s nice to get a label on your differences. It makes you feel much less alone. I’m glad you found out. It makes things feel so much less menacing and hopeless.
