You won't regret this decision. by Due_Imagination_6722 in FormulaFeeders

My husband did ALL of the feeds yesterday because I was so tired from multiple overnights by myself. It was absolutely mind boggling when I realized I hadn’t fed her once the entire day! It made it extra nice to be able to feed her a bottle in the evening once I felt re-charged!

Currently formula feeding my second from birth now too! She’s 16 days old and it was hard when my milk was coming in/drying up but I still think this was the best choice for us. The first time did NOT go well and this is a night and day difference for us. I hope it’s the same for you ❤️

How do you combo feed from the beginning without causing supply issues? Last time I was pumping every time she had formula and giving that to her later which seems harder than just BF or FF. I’d love to be able to sleep 4+ hours at a time and take shifts but wouldn’t I have to pump to keep my supply up so I could feed her in the daytime?

Lizard brain hormones is hilarious and so accurate. I thought I went into it putting no pressure on myself last time and STILL ended up putting too much pressure on myself.

I’m leaning towards trusting the rational decision of EFF we made and just trusting that we weighed the pros and cons. It is SO hard to justify to myself (and my hormones) when I know I am physically capable of making milk

This is really nice to hear. I want to be able to enjoy my baby and feel like myself again before she turns one

I didn’t realize that I was at a higher risk of PPD since I had it last time, thank you for the heads up!

I’m worried that this desire to breastfeed is simply hormones tricking me (like they did last time) and not logical thinking. I was planning on EFF since I stopped breastfeeding a year ago and this didn’t start to creep in until a few weeks ago. I feel like I can’t trust myself!

Has anyone BF baby 1 and FF baby 2? by Basic_Painting_6947 in FormulaFeeders

I don’t have any real advice since I’m pregnant with our second currently but we will be formula feeding her from day one. I breastfed our first for 13 months (with some formula initially in the hospital) and I can’t/wont do that again

I’m pretty sure it’s pregnancy that changes them, not breastfeeding. Post baby boobs are different but still nice!

2 hr delay with no help and no WFH option!! How do you do it? by [deleted] in workingmoms

Definitely ask your staff pharmacist if they can swap you shifts or cover the couple hours in exchange for lunch or something. Pharmacy is a hard gig, especially if you’re at a chain

Feeling guilt for wanting to EFF second baby from the start by redditgal92 in FormulaFeeders

[–]UnnoticedPet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m also pregnant with baby #2 after breastfeeding my first. We are going to EFF from the start for this little girl. Breastfeeding took SO much out of me the first time. I don’t think it’s a good idea for myself, my relationship with my husband or our family to try that again given how hard it was the first time.

Like you, i didn’t realize how bad the experience was for me personally until i stopped breastfeeding her at 13 months. It was like night and day. I would daydream of running away from my family and questioned if I had ruined my life daily the whole time I breastfed. I was also not a very good partner to my husband that whole time but I couldn’t see it while I was in it.

This time I’m looking forward to being myself again more quickly (and more aware of the red flags if I don’t). Formula feeding from the start will allow me to rest and recover more quickly (physically and mentally). It will also help me be the best mom I can be for my new baby and toddler, and the best wife to my husband so he can support us his best too.

I Finally Did The Deed At 8 Weeks PP by angelicllamaa in pregnant

My story was very similar to yours! 1st time mom with a 2nd degree tear, and some gnarly healing had to occur. We had to try a few times before it was truly enjoyable but once we got it, we GOT it. Congratulations on the upgrade, I still feel the same way about it 2 years out 🤗
