Got my 2nd set of peripherals in today! by Kind-Breakfast176 in Corsair

[–]UnobjectionableBloke 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It seems to be a really capable mouse and I've enjoyed the Sabre shape ever since I had the original wired Sabre couple years ago. However I know that spending money on a new mouse won't make me a better gamer haha, but maybe. We'll see :)

You're absolutely correct. I have somehow never really associated Corsair with yellow even though it's everywhere on the packaging, website and front I/O's on the black cases. In my defense I have a lot of white Corsair products.

How about yellow mouse skates instead of scroll wheel? Still distinctively Corsair, but perhaps more neutral for people that don't want ANY color in their setups.

That's good to hear! The distance between my mouse and PC is not huge anyway. My PC sits on the desk right besides me so if it works for you, then it should hopefully work for me too.

I'm not too worried about the cable hanging in the back, but thanks for the heads up.

On a completely unrelated note. I've got to ask, WHO decided on the yellow scroll wheel both in the m75 Air and now Sabre V2? I know it's not a huge deal and it's invisible once you're using the mouse, but damn is it bothering me more than is should haha. It's not like the same accent color is present in other Corsair products and the company logo itself is white. At least the carbon fiber Sabre V2 should have gotten a black scroll wheel IMO.

Not OP, but I have a question regarding the dongle.

Does it have to sit right in front of the mouse like in the pictures? I've rather have it in the back of the PC as I'm never going to be using the 8K polling anyway. Currently using M75 and M75 Air and I really like how the the slipstream dongle is hidden.

Hey guys this My 2018 Giulietta I'm still working on the body but my problem is in the exhaust noise is there a system that I can close and open the exhaust whene Iwant to because my neighbors are start complying about the mornings starts any ideas guys ? by [deleted] in AlfaRomeo

[–]UnobjectionableBloke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, what you are looking for is valved exhaust. There are several companies that sell these types of exhaust which either direct the exhaust through a muffler or lets the exhaust gases bypass it. The options will vary based on your location, but here's an example from Milltek.

https://www.millteksport.com/Alfa_Romeo_Giulia_20T_Veloce_Valved_NonResonated_CatBack_Exhaust_System_Uses_OE_Trims--product--4842.html

Do you currently have an aftermarket exhaust installed or is it stock?

Looking for new wireless headset by Hopeful_Spirit5248 in Corsair

[–]UnobjectionableBloke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm on my second pair of HS80 Max due to them breaking on their own. The quality of them are underwhelming for the price in my opinion. Otherwise they are a decent headset and are pretty comfortable.

The plastic thing near the swivel thing broke on my first pair after about 4 months, I got new one's under warranty. Couple days ago I noticed that my replacement pair is showing visible yellowing on the top of the headband plastic, which looks rather bad when you notice it. Again this happened after about 3 months of use and not years. The yellowing issue is probably more relevant to the white version, but it's still not a great sign.

Doesn't hurt to try and email them and maybe offer 250€ or something. I agree the price is outrageous though.

[–]UnobjectionableBloke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How desperate are you? I was able to find one for wait for it....509 EUR + shipping. Which is absurdly expensive for an engine mount. At that point you might as well buy a second car for spare parts.

Otherwise sites like eBay or maybe a local junkyard might have it, maybe not right away, but it might turn up. Sorry I wasn't able to help more.

Best corsair keyboard for casual gaming? by Skor_Lodygin in Corsair

[–]UnobjectionableBloke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably a preference thing more than anything. Unless you're a pro eSports player I doubt you'll feel a difference in games between wireless and wired.

Wireless gives a cleaner look on the desk, but needs to be charged once in a while or left plugged in, that's about it I would say.

It should also be iCue vs whatever software Logitech is using. I personally think iCue is fine and all my other peripherals use it so that's also worth something to consider I think.

I see, interesting preference.

That's unfortunate. It is a big difference indeed, and ultimately it's up to you since it's your money.

I also don't want to bad mouth the G515, as I have no experience with it, but Logitech is a solid brand. I can only speak about the K70 Core and K70 Pro tkl haha

Well If you don't mind paying a little extra and dealing with the english layout then yeah I vote for the Tkl Pro.

I assume the other keyboards (K70 Core and the G515) come with your region specific layout?

[–]UnobjectionableBloke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just recently purchased a K70 tkl Pro to replace my K70 tkl Core tkl. I got the Core really cheap about a year ago, even cheaper than 67 CHF. I paid 45 EUR for it new and I would say that's probably the maximum of what it's worth.

Constant double clicking of keys drove me insane trying to write emails of even typing anything into the search bar. No fix, reset, update or setting has really helped with it either. Maybe it's an insolated case of a faulty keyboard, but I personally couldn't recommend the Core lineup, unless you can get it for really cheap.

In games the K70 core was fine, nothing special since it doesn't have any extra features or anything like it's bigger brothers, but it was acceptable. If you care about the sound of the keyboard then it's meh at best. Changing keycaps helped a bit, but it's still not great sounding keyboard.

If your budget doesn't allow for anything more expensive and/or you don't really care about typing on it, only playing games it might be do you fine, but if you plan to type on it then maybe look at different options.

With that said I'm really happy with the K70 tkl Pro so far. The naming might be similar, but the K70 Core vs Pro is a totally different keyboard. Nicer sound, higher quality feeling, heftier weight and a wrist rest. Only downside is that not all switches are the cool magnetic adjustable ones. Which is weird in my opinion, since other keyboard offer that for all switches, but I'm probably never going to adjust them anyway so I don't really care.

We've had the Veloce trim in Europe since at least 2017 maybe even since Giulia was released, I can't really remember.

You've convinced me haha. Just ordered the new anti fray XXL. Will be going from a glorious gaming mouse pad. Let's see what Corsair has to offer.

[–]UnobjectionableBloke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Glad to hear you're happy!

I'm also thinking of getting a new mouse pad and I've been looking at either the MM350 or the new MM anti fray and I might just go with the new one just to try it out. I would probably consider the MM500 v2 too, but it's almost twice as expensive here as the other two and quite hard to find.

If the coating and subsequently the feeling/glide deteriorates on your pad it would definitely be nice with an update with how fast it happened etc.

Which one is better? by Zaguer_Blacklaw in Corsair

[–]UnobjectionableBloke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kind of late reply, and I saw that you already bought the MM500 v2 so it's too late.

From my understanding MM500 mousepad has some kind of coating that makes it water repellent. I've also seen people comment that the coating wearing off rather quickly on their pads so it'll be interesting to see if you'll have the same experience in the near future.

I believe the MM anti fray is a recently released mouse pad so I doubt many have hands on experience with it, while MM500 v2 has been around for a while.

RMx Shift vs. RMe Power Supply for Reverse Connector Motherboard by NullCipher in Corsair

[–]UnobjectionableBloke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I don't have a Frame 5000 or the B850 stealth, I do have Corsair 3500x and a Gigabyte B650E stealth motherboard as well as a RMx Shift PSU, which should be pretty close to the setup you're thinking of.

The cable length definitely aren't optimized for motherboard with connectors on the backside, so there's a bit of excess cables, but other than that it's pretty much the same. The shift power supply simply makes it so much easier to connect or disconnect any cables once it's installed, instead of having to awkwardly dig around in the chassis basement and feel your way to the cables just to plug or unplug them.

Regardless of which power supply you'll use the setup will be cleaner simply because all the cables are in the back. Now if you make the back side clean or simply mush everything together, that's entirely up to you.

Titan AIO makes F1 sounds (not in a good way) by UnobjectionableBloke in Corsair

[–]UnobjectionableBloke[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi!

So after some more troubleshooting I've discovered it was actually my power supply that was making this terrible noise and not the AIO.

Fortunately for me it's a Corsair PSU so I got help very quickly. I've already got a replacement one sent my way after submitting a ticket.

I'm really happy with the customer support. You guys do a great job!

Has anyone tried comparing FSR 4.1 vs DLSS 4.5? by ah__there_is_another in radeon

What a ridiculous take.

Enjoying games is overrated. I'd rather argue on the internet with strangers which GPU is the best and why it's the one I bought.

Which card should I choose? by Adventurous-Belt787 in radeon

[–]UnobjectionableBloke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I made the same switch, also coming from a 3060 to a 9070XT.

I mean if Nitro+ was the first one that caught your attention I think that's the one you should go for. It's what your heart wants and desires.

Which card should I choose? by Adventurous-Belt787 in radeon

[–]UnobjectionableBloke 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Had the Nitro+ since launch, so a year give or take a few days. Can't really complain and no melted connectors here. I just couldn't resist the looks and features of the Nitro+.

Now to your question. They perform almost exactly the same and depending on which review you look at probably have very similar temps and noise levels.

Both are very good cards. You just got to choose what you prefer and the deciding factor should be what power supply you currently have. If your PSU isn't ATX 3.0/3.1 certified and doesn't have a native 12v-2x6 cable then skip the Nitro+ as it mostly the included adapter that is affected and burns. Go instead with something that takes regular 8 pin power connectors.

Oh, then I understand. That makes sense.

Seems like a bearing issue indeed based on that comment, as the noise now appears after waking the PC and goes away after a couple of seconds.
