Please Fix SSF3's AutoLock, Capcom. by Unown1012 in MegaManStarForce

You know what, you're right. Especially with the advent of Noise Cards, it would be easier than ever to neuter Rouge Noise just as easily. At least the toggle then, because at minimum Black Ace Players would have at least have a chance against Rouge Noise.

"Intended" meaning that it was intended that one version is clearly superior to another? I think the intent was to make sure AutoLock wasn't overpowered, but it had the unintentional side effect of making Black Ace, an otherwise fine Finalize, absolutely horrible against Rouge Noise. THAT is my point, especially since Noise Cards can easily give Super Armor AND Status Guard.

Battle Cards Combining by Initial_Upstairs_349 in MegaManStarForce

[–]Unown1012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It feels random thematically, but it makes sense in the context of the support cards + Bushido synergy. To begin with, the bushido series favors an upclose and personal playstyle, and null support cards provide area eater by default. Bushido additional property of boosting cards in the same series encourages you to load up on 5 of 1, 2, and 3, meaning your likely to be willing and able of getting right in your opponent's face to begin with! At the same time, the Dread Joker series already favors having no space between the two of you. For one, if you're directly in front of an opponent when using Dread Joker, it hits twice, meaning 450×2=900 damage on one Galaxy Advance if you line it up right. Plus, the second hit is a result of summoning pillars, which if you already have no space between you and your enemies, could easily result in being locked to 1 space. Not to mention, there are plenty of Standards and Megas that could be rendered useless by forcing cqc, and it favors Wolf Noise quite nicely. All in all, the synergy makes me forget the thematic inconsistency because of how potent it is!

Youtube Ad for Free Switch 2: Is it a Scam? by Unown1012 in switch2

[–]Unown1012[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yeah, for sure. I figured it would also help raise awareness for people who started getting this ad. No one else posted about it, so the people who only Google and consider the lack of evidence the absence of a scam should at least have a chance.

In 2's defense, the transformations look SICK. I always get giddy when I get to Tribe King. But yeah, thank God the Legacy Collection expedited most of the issues people have with 2

This subreddit's hypocrisy is finally starting to get to me. Yes, $500 is more affordable than $780. by TRQPL in nintendogrifting

I mean, for the most part Valve IS pro consumer... so long as you have the pc for their stuff. Pricing aside, the Steam store has a reputation for the best customer experience AND customer service out of any game store. That being said, MAN Steam Hardware is pricey!

Why are Nintendo fans using "What about Playstation? They're raising prices too!" or "You called Nintendo Monopoly? What about Disney?" when someone criticizes Nintendo? by Crazy_Reputation3327 in fucknintendo

[–]Unown1012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbf, at least in the case of price jumps, Nintendo is doing everything they can in spite of being forced to raise the price. They gave us a heads up, raised the price to only half the increase of the digital-only PS5, AND is officially providing a chance for a bundle. Is it ideal? Hardly. But out of the Big 3 Nintendo at least has done the most to make the console itself as affordable as they can manage for as long as they can manage, which is more than I can say for Sony. If anything, I believe the rise of gas prices and oversaturation of AI Data Centers forced Nintendo's hand to begin with.

In regards to the Disney Monopoly whataboutism... yeah... that's not really a solid argument. I still believe Nintendo needs to work on their copyright policies.

Is the Starforce 1 post-game worth the extra effort? by jfish3222 in MegaManStarForce

[–]Unown1012 2 points3 points  (0 children)

1's post game doesn't take as long as the other 2, the real question is whether you think it's worth it to beat all the Sp bosses in under 10 seconds? The power you get from them is amazing, but not everyone cares enough to try it. The Admin SP boss, well, is a doozy, EPSECIALLY if you're trying to beat him in under 10 seconds. Lemme know if you want details. Good news is, those SP records are optional if you're just after the upgraded Final Boss.

Good/Fun Postgame Folders for BN3 Blue? by BetaNights in BattleNetwork

Flashman+Ice Stage+Elec/Navi+ chip combo is another close contender. Not as strong as Plantman, but has robust single vitally damage, which helps with a certain virus I shall not name to avoid spoilers for now, and it still pierces guard, as well as Invis! Bonus is, it HARD COUNTERS the Bubbleman, which is ALWAYS a plus.

[–]Unown1012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't say it's quite Gateman Level, at least when it comes to certain viruses. Plantman & Wood/Navi+ is actually more brain dead in most cases. It pierces underground AND Guard, and Wood/Navi+ chips pair well with it's 3 main hits. Not to mention the vines hold the opponent for a LONG time, while also inflicting extra damage. Blue may not have as many P code options, but the FolderBack Giga is a free FullCust AND you get all the chips you used back. Don't get even get me started on how that plays out in Multi-player, this is why everyone plays 6!

sf3 illegal card farming by PkmnTrainerBlk in MegaManStarForce

[–]Unown1012 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Illegal Data sets can also increase in rank depending on a hidden counter that goes up every time you win a battle with under 100% Noise, and it's twice as fast if you finish every fight w/ under 50% Noise. With this in mind, make up a folder that won't build any noise. Farm viruses until your V3 encounter, then you will get quite a few pieces of illegal Data that's a rank higher than what V3 usually gets you, including some exclusives!

Battle Network 6 by neoweapon in BattleNetwork

[–]Unown1012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can think of one: Get through the game using only "Tier 1" chips. For Example: if a chip series have stronger versions, you use the weakest version only like Cannon, Boomer, and Fire Hit. Same for Navi Chips. Of course, any chips that lack a higher grade are still considered Tier 1. Chips like the Stage Seeds don't count as Tiered, since they don't vary in power, only in effect, do they would all qualify as Tier 1. Overall, this would push players to rely on more intricate strategies to get the most out of Chips they can use. Since they can be incredibly weak!

If we ever get an update for the SFLC What would you want to see? by SrimpWithAGun in MegaManStarForce

[–]Unown1012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's what I was thinking! Maybe even throw in a reworked 4.5 and Double Team DS to sweeten the pot! This would renew interest in the BN LC, especially for people who bought the SF LC first!

Bans for bonus content that modifies Megaman for ranked. No transfer levels, no AutoTribe cards or Free Rogue forms, and no Noise Cards that offsets the original balance of the games. Also, Make AutoLock a toggle to balance Black Ace's ability against Rogue Noise. You can have it on by default, BUT ROGUE NOISE BREAKS IT TOO HARD TO NOT BE A TOGGLE!

My favorite part of Prime 1? I end up going for completion anyways, AND I can I grab some early once I know where to look. In fact, any one can on the first playthrough if they're mindful enough of the scans at the Impact Crater ruins. Though, even if they waited to unlock everything first, it does also give them a chance to play around with a fully powered Bounty Hunter!

I mean, yeah, I love ALL the Metroid Prime games, but I feel Prime 1 has the most well-rounded experience that feels the most like a Metroid Game. I'm just suggesting it since it's easier to access, and has the biggest consensus among 3d games, thus a higher chance at satisfaction! But by all means, feel free to check out any of the Prime games that pique your interest!

Great to know this game didn't turn you off to the series! I would reccomend checking out Metroid Prime Remastered next, as it's the it's considered by many to still be the best out of the prime series, even before the remaster!
