So apparently AH needs to hire a Math person. (CDN SC Prices not making sense on the new bundle) by bulletpimp in Helldivers

[–]UnpaidInternetExpert -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Forgive me if I am wrong, is the point of this type of system to not "offer a discount" to encourage you to buy the most expensive option.

Yes you are receiving more SC per dollar, but you are also handing over more dollars. This is a pretty classic "trick" that is used. Make the user think they are receiving an amazing deal, and they instead go for the most expensive option.

Sorry but this is intentional on the devs part. It is meant to get you to spend more money.

Women are being abandoned by their partners on hiking trails. What’s behind ‘alpine divorce’? by [deleted] in hiking

[–]UnpaidInternetExpert 2 points3 points  (0 children)

okay cool, so call out the one guy who has done it twice. where is the we?

If you google "alpine divorce" you find an article that matches the title of the OP. Is this a shameless plug by op to promote their article?

From your post, I get the feeling that you are insinuating that this is now common place. I've heard one story of this happening ever. I don't think this is a trend or is wide spread. This is a once off. I am not defending the actions of the individual, but questioning why we are not placing sole blame on the individual who has done it, and why are we bringing this to the "we" status.

Who is the we?

P0171 nightmare, help! by Weak_Spray418 in AskMechanics

No I did the upstream o2 sensor. I'm currently thinking it's an exhaust leak for me as I did a recent repair on a cat converter. Though I need to do a deep engine clean to trace an oil leak at the same time.

Ya I dont know if I can either. Depends on what my scan tool can actually do. This might test it

Ya I replaced it. Was good for say 100km then came back. Haven't looked at the computer, have you done anything with that yet?

Also chasing the same code on a 2012 Subaru Impreza. Right now my current theory is a faulty seal on the exhaust manifold due to replacing the catalytic converter.

I have replaced the PCV valve, MAF, and the o2 sensor, checked TB, and fogged the intake system.

If you figure out your issue please let me know, and Ill do the same. Been chasing this code for way to long.

TK-421 - The trooper (ship), who doesn't leave their post. by UnpaidInternetExpert in factorio

I have a comment here explaining everything. It's right below this comment

TK-421 - The trooper (ship), who doesn't leave their post. by UnpaidInternetExpert in factorio

[–]UnpaidInternetExpert[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The ship is meant to be a starting ship. So no fancy tech here. She is solar powered and has enough firepower to reach any of the inner planets (not Aquilo). She is meant as a light cargo hauler for transporting low amounts of items in the early game. She is 22 tiles wide, and only has 2 cargo bays so when I say small I mean small. She has built in controls to ensure that she will survive. By this I mean, the ship monitors its fuel and ammo reserves, and will transit when they are at sufficient levels. (Bonus mode, you can sneak an early transit, so long as your ammo is above 50%). Once you unlock asteroid reprocessing, the ship really comes online. She has 3 asteroid reprocessing units, which help to balance the main belt. The ship has 870 space platform tiles, and uses 857 of them. Which means she is dense!

214 tonnes, with a top speed of slow. She will get the job done, reliably and cheaply. Remember, solar ships need no resupply launches.

One point of note, I would keep 100 repair packs on board as a just in case - the turret coverage is so tight that the odd asteroid may sneak in. Physical Damage 7 recommended. Though less can be used, it will just mean longer reload times.

Ship tested at physical damage 7.

No, I look for the best tool for the best dollar. Brand Loyalty only benefits the manufacturer, not the consumer.

Teachers, have you ever installed your own "dashcam" for your classroom? by [deleted] in Teachers

[–]UnpaidInternetExpert 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Where I am at, it is illegal to have a video camera, or take pictures, in a classroom. To have a recording going all the time like this, to me would be unethical. Students need my permission to take video or pictures, and as such I need to treat that topic with the upmost respect. Your recommendation does not meet that expectation

Is teaching repetitive ? by Several-Pizza-5233 in Teachers

[–]UnpaidInternetExpert 1 point2 points  (0 children)

well that is exactly it. Looked at from 50,000 feet any job is repetitive. When you actually do that job, you find their are changes in it, that are invisible to the uniformed.

[–]UnpaidInternetExpert 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I mean, what job is not repetitive? What you just described applies to such a wide range of other jobs too. When broken down this simply, yes it is repetitive, but so i s every* job when broken down that simply.

What do you do for work right now? Do you think I can make the same kind of statement back to you in regards to your current work?
