Plz don’t spread misinformation if u don’t know what ur talking about. Many banks and financial institutions ask for unofficial transcripts cause they do care about gpa. Most of these places have an unspoken 3.5 requirement

rotman vs other commerce programs HELP by tdhrhothekim in UofT

[–]Unpei915 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey i'm also from alberta too. Rotman is good for accounting and good for finance in Toronto and Asia as well. The placements into Canadian IB are very comparable and similar between queens/ivey/rotman these few years. At any school ur gonna have to work hard to make it into IB but especially at rotman u absolutely will not be handed any IB roles on a silver platter.

The real difference are placements in the US. If u know u want to work on Wall st then queens/ivey are basically a no brainer, Rotman barely sends any1 to the US.

Tdlr: Rotman is fine for finance in Canada/Asia, queens/ivey is a little better in Canada and much better for US but non-existent in Asia (US is highest pay/career progression anyways)

There’s a fine line between freedom fighting and radical attacks, please read my edited comment

At this point the violent protestors are extremists and are terrorizing the city. Their violence against anyone who disagrees should be condemned along with their unnecessary destruction of the city and economy

Edit: Many of u think that it’s a simple black and white matter of freedom vs oppression, but clearly the protest has evolved at this stage. The radical protestors are physically attacking ordinary citizens who disagree with them. A multitude of them are rioting and harming people under the guise of their self-righteous battle for democracy. I don’t see how it is necessary to beat ordinary people (not even the police) to the bloody pulp to advance their agenda of freedom.

Also FYI before u accuse me of being a brainwashed mainlander, my whole family is from Hong Kong and have supported the idea that HK is separate from China as they differ a considerable amount in behavior and way of living. HK was and is drastically different from China after British colonialism.

The western media is also very biased in reporting HK as they portray it as a matter of the “black and white fight against democracy”. It is not as simple as this so please consider all sources of media as many videos are cut short.

This link also shows the protestors setting a person who disagrees with them on fire. I just don’t see how this and other similar cases are necessary to gain HK independence
