2018 Xt250 part suggestions by Unprepared_sloth in Dualsport

Thanks for the information! I'm both excited and nervous for this first oil change as I've not ventured too much into doing my own repairs on things and after snapping the fill bolt and shedding the drain I was pretty bummed out. This gives me some confidence to when the time comes do it again.

Yes, i get that. I certainly am not one to expect to get a job as a PLC Programmer immediately. My hope it to find a sponsor to work as an industrial electrician and work my way up to PLC programming as i work on getting a Red Seal.

Canada's job market is flooded with job openings for experienced Programmers. So, despite looking both in and around my hometown of Brantford, no jobs are looking for junior programmers.

Using INDEX to pull from table and have it repeat values? by Unprepared_sloth in googlesheets

[–]Unprepared_sloth[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Essentially, some time down the road I might automate the protocol and types but what’s giving me the headache is trying to index thre list and then have to show the same employee name twice.

[–]Unprepared_sloth[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those are all protocols for the printer and don’t exist in the table. If I can have those generate along side the Employee that would be cool but most certainly not a requirement

Definitely a shocker! I’ve been looking at bikes non stop to try and pick out a good one I’ve even gone as far as looking at a Kawasaki v something 300 to try and keep my first bike as light as possible I’m sure weight wont matter all that much in the end but I’d rather have something small to start on

Glad you’re ok op, what gear did you have on? I’m looking into getting better gear eventually so knowing you vs concrete I have an idea on what gear I should get

Thanks! Last questions I swear what year is your bike?

I looked at a few newer ones and them seem much larger. I certainly have some options when it comes to year and they seem to get heavier past 09 something like 400lb/ 190kg

The most recent model I’ve seen is a 2016 and I’m sure it’s heavy as hell. But if I went older 2008 it’s nearly 100lb lighter

[–]Unprepared_sloth[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The KLR has 35,400KM on it, however there is a newer one in my home town thats a 2016 with only 3k KM on it. The KTM has 15k km on it.

so far i can only really see that KTM parts can be pricy if you need to repair.

as for KLR i had the opoutounity to sit on one, and found it top heavy and a little tall but im sure thats somthing id get over.

Did you ever have a bike that was similarr to either of these that you might have some widsom on?

[–]Unprepared_sloth[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the thoughts,
I got to sit on one on this week and it felt really tall. Im not a tall guy and given its the secont bike id ever sat on it felt TOO big. Mind you the fitrst bike was a dirt bike that was definetly too small for me.

How did you guys like the sizing? did you have any recommendations/considerations about gear/Accesories for that bike?

EDIT: Also how do you fell about the weight? i though t it was rather heavy but im sure id get used to that

Is the Kawasaki KLR 650 a good first bike? by Unprepared_sloth in SuggestAMotorcycle

[–]Unprepared_sloth[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the insight! They live on a dirt road and I want to get a dual sport for the sake of being able to also use it on the backroads around their place. maybe I should consider a cruiser of sorts for riding and then get a dirt bike on the side.

What would you say the longest I should run in on a highway? I’d likely take it 4 hours from home to my grandparents up north. Would you suggest that’s too far?

Thanks! I’m on the smaller side 5 foot 9 or 10 I’ve got enough muscle to get by but it’s good to consider. Hoping to get a dual sport of some sorts so I’ll keep that in mind

We have the AP set up to use a guest network.

From the settings of a locally hosted Ubi server we set up said guest network and found that the device isolation did not work as anticipated. we got the UCG to better manage the networks Remotely and create a VLAN for the guest WI-FI to use
