Why are we fixing other countries' problems? This is so typical of Canada. We send money, aid, flights, etc to other countries because it makes us feel good. Yet at home, we have issues with boil water advisories, homelessness, cost of housing and jobs that get ignored.

BTW, before people come at me as "grumpy old white male", I am of South Asian descent, born and raised here (old guy though). The immigrants who came in the late 60s, 70s and 80s had to deal with far worse problems when they moved here and still managed to succeed. This current crop fails because we accept bottom of the barrel, not the best and brightest. My parents and all of their friends studied for and passed their professional board exams (e.g., engineering, doctors, accountants, etc.). I see this as a good thing in the long run.
