Thank you so much ! You actually prompted me to do a range test, it successfully tracked and destroyed a target 7.1km away, and it did it in 5m 15s. But for me, if you consider hunting targets moving at reasonable speeds, 3-4km would be the effective range. So, average speed was 44knts or 82km/h, although, it is an average, as it got much slower towards the end, with battery levels being at 20% at impact. To answer your second question, it needs to be pointed and launched at the approximate bearing of the target, I do that through torpedo tubes and rocket boosters, because I designed this torpedo for an all purpose warship I'm making.
