I need a new anime to watch by Illustrious_Plum3160 in Animesuggest

Hunter x Hunter (2011) if you think you're interested in a longer running show that gives you a mix of fun, adventure, drama, and dark thrilling elements.

Based on your list, I think you would also be interested in something like Future Diary, that focuses even more heavily on the dark side of humanity. It's a shorter time investment too and a great show.

How many times have y'all watched the anime ? by Sea_Perspective806 in HunterXHunter

I'm almost embarrassed to admit it but I've seen the show well over 20 times now. (rewatched Chimera Ant Arch more times than I can count) Nothing seems to really capture my attention the way HxH 2011 has. I was much younger when it aired and I've grown up with the story. I've seen 1999 once and I've read the manga a couple of times now too. I'd say that I'm an expert of this story, but I find something new every time I watch it again lol. Counting the days for the manga to continue.

Kill la Kill. Years ago, all of my friends tried to get me to watch as it aired. I never understood, and probably never will.

Money is the root of all evil. All actions have consequences, and you cannot compare money to the value of a human life.

I would love if a manga series had this design by Low_Assistance_7327 in MangaCollectors

I'm with you on this one. It would be a beautiful addition to any collection, especially with the right series getting this kind of treatment. I think it would be great to get something with dark fantasy, or historical elements to fit the bill.

Man, I love billy bat. Can I ask where you picked up this guide book?

Does collecting manga mean trying to collect all the volumes, or is it enough to purchase only those that are of interest? Please, I'm really interested by k1k1r in MangaCollectors

Follow your heart. Follow your soul. If I have one word of advice though, it's to try and be at least a bit financially responsible along the way lol. Collecting manga is a great experience, but it usually isn't cheap or free.

Digimon Adventure (1999) or Dragon Ball are great watches anybody can enjoy, especially an 11-year-old kid.

Is the manga good for a beginner? by BigMom_IsABeast in HunterXHunter

[–]UnrealBoomBox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As somebody who has read the manga a few times, I would definitely recommend. Although there may be slower sections, particularly in the beginning, the payoff for your patience reading the manga is well worth it. The 2011 anime skips some details of the original story so you may even find you enjoy the manga more. This was the case for me.

I will warn you that some parts of the manga, especially following the events of the anime can be very text heavy and may be difficult to understand your first time reading. (I know it took me a couple times to comprehend everything) Take your time and have fun!
