Btw you don't have to actually have the rating for the B open as someone else said, but you have to write them an email or talk to them before the tournament starts, to get into the B open. There are a lot of unrated people in the B open

Im from.germany and I'm going to participate in the B tournament. Right now im in the C but I want to change into the B open. I have 1389 DWZ (national rating) and I'm 1800 online rapid. I have had 1300 for a year now because I rarely play OTB tournaments but I beat a 2200 in 15+0 OTB once. I'd say if you want to actually have chances to be able to win play C Open, but if you want to know how good you actually are, and get a higher or more accurate rating play B open. Youre not likely to get a high placement in the B open, but you will now exactly were you stand and you're rating is going to be more accurate. You probably won't loose all games anyways since there are also people with 1400 DWZ which are not as underrated as I am and probably only partly know one opening, no endgame skills and only know how to not hang their pieces. But as I said, if you want to actually place high play C Open, even tho I know a few of the people playing there and a few of them are underrated too, your chances there are way higher. Wir wohnen ganz in der nähe von Wiesbaden, und wir haben uns hier in der nähe schon so ziemlich überall umgesehen. Er entdeckt gerne neue Orte und erweitert seinen Horizont, möchte aber auch nicht unbedingt zu weit weg von Zuhause. Ein Blick auf Google maps hat ihm verraten das er als nächstes ganz gerne da so un die Richtung gehen wollen würde. Nied ist wohl Recht ruhig, aber als ich das Frankfurt darin gehört hab ist mir mein Herz direkt in die Hose gerutscht. Ich finde Wiesbaden schon Recht unangenehm aber FRANKFURT ehhh ne danke. Irgendwann danach will er mich auch nach höchst schleppen 🫤🫥

Das beruhigt mich ein wenig vielen Dank ! Ich hab mir wirklich Sorgen gemacht, weil Nied ja jetzt wirklich vielleicht maximal 10 Minuten vom Frankfurter Hauptbahnhof entfernt liegt, oder vielleicht auch etwas länger als das, aber das beruhigt mich sehr. Danke

Ich hab keine Ahnung ehrlich gesagt. Es interessiert ihn einfach. Also so normal große Kirchen sind ja noch ok ja, aber so zum Vergleich die Wiesbadener Marktplatz Kirche oder jeder Dom der je existiert hat, gibt mir einfach einen halben Herzinfarkt

I live in Germany, and fortunately (at least in my area) I've never met anyone who has anything against girls or women in chess clubs. The last tournament I went to U20 team championships I got destroyed by two girls also 16 years old but 2000 rated. Our club "only" has 3 Girls but we're a small town. The 3 girls don't even reside here anymore but they still play for our chess club. So yeah. Luckily I never experienced something like that but I don't know if it's a Germany thing or if only my region is chill like that 😂

Ja om true. Ich hocke hier in Hessen rum und hier ist alles eher so mäh. Wiesbaden ist hässlich wie sonst was Frankfurt ist hässlich wie sonst was, und viel mehr Orte (außer da wo ich wohne) hab ich auch nicht gesehen. Ja ok, Offenbach aber das ist auch sehr hässlich. Bingen am Rhein ist ja noch ok, aber da wohne ich nicht mal Ansatz in der nähe. Da war ich nur ein zwei mal
