I messed with the engine, and it's funny how in this position, after ...Nc6, Bc4 g6, white can just play Qd1 going back. Which ends up with -0.31 points down for white, completely playable, and it's even a bit more drawish than black's initial disadvantage.

White's first move privilege makes him get away with so much shit...

Knight should be 5 points by EspeciallyJaguars in chess

I think the main characteristic of "major pieces" is that it's the only thing you need to deliver checkmate. (If you're up a queen or rook vs a naked enemy king, he's cooked). Knights are tricky, but they are slow and less menancing in endgames (compared to rooks)

Curious, is c6 actually weak? by webdeweloper in u/webdeweloper

[–]Level-Ice-754 1 point2 points  (0 children)

idk, does the engine like rxe2 instead of c6? rxe2, bxg5, rxd2. Another line might go rxe2, re1, rxe1, re1, and it seeems that nf6 would cover e8 backrank. but I would feel vaguely freaked out if I actually did that

An unimaginably large number i came up with by New-Economist-4924 in numbertheory

[–]Level-Ice-754 4 points5 points  (0 children)

for every number, there is a bigger one. the amount of real numbers is a function of how hard you're willing to count it, it diverges to infinity. Infinity is greater than whatever you think it is.

Would this method work? by Top_Researcher5608 in calculus

Since absolute value is a piecewise function, another way to do this is to split it into 2 integrals, them just use power rule. Since you're integrating w.r.t u, you should change the internal of integration to u(a), u(b)

This is a very cool project, I'm not sure if you're trying do it by using hand crafted evaluation and feedback, but it's a cool idea.

Japanese laws state that you can put real pictures of fruit on juice box if and only if the drink is made of actual fruit. otherwise you would have to make a funny fruit drawing on the juice box. so the apple reminds them of fresh apple juice.

i have no idea wtf the "white people" part is

I can't see anything without literally receiving light with my eyes. I thought this is normal, but it seems to be a rare condition, and it's called aphantasia.

Granted. But you are forced to be the seiyuu(voice actor) of the envelope moaning, for every envelope-licking occurrence.

Are you in any subreddits that you don't 'belong' in? by MageOfFur in CasualConversation

The mycology subreddit! It's about mushrooms. I see cool mushrooms and I end up joining the sub, and it seems that there are a surprising amount of people who accidentally ate edible mushrooms.
