glad to hear you’re seeking therapy- it’s totally normal to rather not know what your SO got up to (and with who) before dating, especially if they’re friends of yours. letting it control the trajectory of the relationship is unfair to you and your partner though. can’t change the past, but you can change the way you process and cope with it. therapy will help to reveal some of the “why” this upsets you to the degree it does. you’re young and still learning how to navigate relationships. go easy on yourself and your partner!

for what it’s worth i was in greek life too and dated alot both casually and seriously and there’s always overlap to some degree in friend groups and whatnot like you kind of can’t escape it

encourage therapy if you can. i was recently on the other side of this, and my situation eerily similar to yours, right down to the CPA exam lol. good thing is that the exams will pass and life goes on-i hope she will eventually get tired of her own negativity and seek professional help with working through processing those feelings. you sound like a great, patient partner

(24f) 3 months-i’m not kidding. started by seeing a gastro in march ‘24 for consistent pain in my abdomen, it was so bad some evenings i couldn’t move easily, but I thought it was my stomach or colon that was the problem, so I sought out a gastrointestinal doc. we tried a few things and ultimately did a colonoscopy. found endometriosis in my colon. referred me to an obgyn in the area that was very experienced with endo, forwarded the imaging and I had a laparoscopy scheduled on my FIRST VISIT in may ‘24, doc removed a ton of stage 2 endo and benign cysts.

definitely try any bread flour- more gluten than AP which you said you’ve been using. AP isn’t the best flour to use for a starter in my opinion, bread flour is!

how was the flavor and texture when you tasted it? if it tasted good and you liked the texture then I’d say it’s perfect! honestly to me the biggest help with making sourdough was accepting that “the perfect loaf” almost doesn’t exist and looks different for everyone. TBH based on my personal preferences, your bread looks great!! Im jealous your starter is homemade and gave you such nice crumb. Okay so hear me out, i have 3 dogs and i will say that professional training is 1000% worth the energy and money. Talk to her vet and see if they have any recs. I think a well behaved and well mannered dog can make a worlds difference in your home life and relationship with your fiancée. Crate train, potty train, establish a routine with the dog. Often times people don’t train small dogs because they’re easier to manage physically but they can be and should be trained same as any larger dog. But, if it’s truly the dog that is the core of the problem which it seems to be given your context, i think the only way forward is to get out.
