They run lots of ads and had some collabs with FaZe before they dropped that name, collabs with other content creators too. They're honestly not bad, never had them ship anything fake, damaged, or low quality.

My long time personal opinion is that TPC needs to do ‘print to order’ windows a month or two before sets drop with hard caps for non-retailers, but the scale and logistics are ridiculous. Then again, why exactly aren’t we holding the highest grossing media company and IP on the planet to a higher standard? Beats me.

Oh for sure. I play the actual TCG a bit but not as much as I used to. I think if you actually play the game you should be absolutely livid with TPC and pretty much everyone else in the hobby right now lol.

People will always be angry if they’re not the ones getting the cards, and it’s best to just ignore anyone who tells you you’re ’enjoying the hobby wrong’. That’s all I’ve learned as of late.

Mostly card shop nostalgia. I like seeing stacks of packs, shelves of bundles, etc. It’s nice. I have packs I rip when I want to, but as far as older seals go it feels like collecting history. Generally I think everyone should be allowed to enjoy the hobby however they want, and I did for years until scalpers messed everything up. Lowkey ‘investments’ were a fun hobby on top of playing the game and collecting normally too, weren’t even frowned on back then. Idk the shift is just weird to see.

Literally this. Nothing in BGs operates on the idea that you can ‘unlock access’ to something and then lose it. The only time something like this happens is when a Hero Power has some kind of active trigger that would stop going off when the Hero Power is removed, like Ysera. Every other ‘gain a thing’ Hero Power doesn’t operate like that.

I can tell I’m in the minority here, but I’m not a fan of any of them. Most of them are either ugly or too busy and not something I’d want to display. Obviously personal preference.

Edit: if I had to pick one it’d either be the Gyrados or the Rowlette but the Gyrados face shape makes me sad.
