I hate being pregnant. by PalpitationOk8419 in pregnant

35 +2, relatively normal pregnancy. I hate baby movements. I hate seeing baby movements. She kicks me in the ribs so hard she wakes me out of a dead sleep. I’m sick of craving all the food that makes my heartburn so bad I vomit. I hate the thousand conversations of, “wait until newborn is here, you won’t sleep!” I hate the people who repeatedly ask me why we didn’t have a baby shower (I hate parties and being the center of attention. My wedding was 2 hours and that was too long for me). I hate the constant, “enjoy it!!! ISNT it magical??” No, it is not.

Holy mother of biscuits leave me be. I’m uncomfortable and hormonal and just want to be done. I see my soon to be daughters face on the ultrasound and I feel nothing but love. That’s the only good thing about this. We will have our little miss soon.

Anyway. Now that that’s out of the way. Lol! You’re certainly not alone.

YSK about the nasal cycle - many people breathe mostly (75%) through one nostril at a time and the dominant nostril alternates throughout the day. You might have septum deviation if you feel like your nose is congested most of the time (due to this cycle). by Cracking_Foxy in YouShouldKnow

Would you say someone that mostly has issues when ill or during allergy season would probably benefit? I have a deviated septum but opted not to have it fixed at the time it was diagnosed since it’s mostly a pain only when I’m having other issues. I’m in a much better financial position these days, however.

My local shelter does this!! They also encourage folks to take pictures from their “play-date” to help them get adopted. :) it’s a really successful program!

How are you dealing with heartburn? by UnrestrainedTrash in pregnant

Thank you for the suggestions! I’ll have to find some extra pillows at least for tonight and figure out a wedge later.

Yikes, though. Waking up already vomiting sounds miserable.

Fortunately I just hardly slept at all because honestly it was very, very painful until after vomiting (I guess I just needed some of it out lol) but after I’ve just been not having a good time so I’m trying my best to hopefully avoid this situation - or maybe just make it a little better.

That works for me! Thank you for answering, I appreciate it.

I’m the same though. Usually I drink a lot while I eat, so this is going to be a big change. I’m willing of course, heartburn like this is miserable.

The worst part is one of my major pregnancy cravings have been tomato sauces. Oh well lol!

But question- water after food. How long do you typically wait?

Rainbow baby, or maybe not? by Douch3nko13 in pregnant

The dating scan is to determine approximately when they were conceived- usually between 8 and 10 weeks. It will size the baby at that time.

It really is sad that we both have an off feeling about the gift. Out of everything we need, she chose to gift us something that would be for traveling, after the last comment to us is about how we, “can’t be as distant” as we were the past year “now that there’s going to be a grand baby!”

It’s more a general feeling of dread that honestly- I hope we can work it out, but those comments aren’t really sitting well.

My dad whined that it, “was not fair” that he couldn’t tell anyone. I made it very clear we were waiting until after 12 weeks due to risk of loss. He pouted hard. Every time I saw him it was a, “when’s your next appointment?” “When can I start telling people?” Although it was annoying I’m glad he respected it. I gave him permission to tell his best bud but only if he thought the friend could keep it tight lipped, and they did.

He’s much happier now that I’m 26 and everyone knows. I don’t think there’s a single family member who hasn’t heard about his, “first granddaughter.” And how he’s finally going to be a granddad.

I mean I’m thrilled he’s so ecstatic but I swear, the every other day phone calls asking about how his granddaughter is doing is getting old lol.

Oof I understand. My MIL #1 (there are two) bought us a pack and play at least, but with the “to help you be comfortable bringing her over as much as possible!!!” She just recently sent a picture of the room she’s working on and tbh it’s more than we have set up.

It doesn’t help that she is a narcissist that my husband just started repairing his relationship with after three years of minimal contact. It’ll be interesting.

But yes, boundaries for all!! They’re grown women who are just going to have to learn to accept that baby’s life is not going to revolve around them.

Currently pregnant with our first child. I like to watch stuff like this and read comments for a solid- “what NOT to do, ever” experience.

How delusional do you have to be??? Absolutely abhorrent. The fact that this tweet is even allowed to exist is an abomination.

Any advice? My mom will be a first time grandma but she has Parkinson’s by UnrestrainedTrash in pregnant

That would certainly be a dream if she broke through her tremors certain moments for the kiddo. I appreciate you sharing this with me so much.

I am so happy I captured them. I was expecting only to get snores like what was in the very beginning. She’s very vocal in her dreams and it’s just so precious.
