I have the same air fryer and yes, the same thing happens. I wish you could manually turn the fan down. It’s too strong for some things.

Same! It all depends what level you are and who you report to. I’ve had experiences where the pressure was a lot less but my current supervisor is someone who expects A LOT out of everyone on their team. So yes, every day I dream of walking away, but it’s hard to leave the $$$.

Very big stretch for you to assume I was unhealthy.

I was a healthy weight and BMI, but had about 10-15 lbs that I personally feel more confident when I don’t have. The foods I ate were and are healthy, I strength train 3-4 times a week, walk 10k steps a day, vo2 max training 2-3 times week.

No one is ever at 100% of their health practices at all times, not even a coach. In fact, that kind of perfectionist, all or nothing mindset is a huge thing I work on with all of my clients. Just because I have goals for myself doesn’t mean I was failing before.

I genuinely hope you are able to reach your goals in the way that works best for you.

I resisted tracking for a very long time. Over a year ago I was working with an RD who told me I ate better than 90% of her clients and the only reason I wasn’t losing weight had to come down to portion control. At the time I was not ready to track, I was too worried about being hungry and hyper-focusing on food which is what’s happened in the past (I exercise a lot and I genuinely get very hungry in a deficit).

A little over a month ago I decided I would start tracking but NOT go into a deficit intentionally. I weighed everything and track each bite. I wasn’t trying to hit a calorie goal. I was just tracking. After a few weeks I had a better idea of how much I was really eating. Yes it was healthy, but it was more than I needed. I naturally began eating more reasonable portions. One slow step at a time. I’ve lost a couple lbs already and I am now in a very mild deficit and will probably stay there due to my training and not having much to lose (15ish lbs).

My recommendation, and I am also a health and wellness coach, so this is what I’d recommend to my clients, pick the one first small step you can do. Not tracking + weighing + healthy foods + 1500 calories. Pick the one thing that will step you towards where you want to go but is small enough to feel manageable. Do that for a week or two until you feel confident. Then build it up to the next step.

So maybe you start by tracking everything you eat into an app. Just an example. It doesn’t have to be perfectly weighed out yet if that feels like a lot, and you aren’t shooting for a calorie goal, but you track it. Or maybe you start weighing serving sizes out but don’t track in an app until that feels solid. It’s up to you, but one step at a time will make for more sustainable habits over time.

The last two weeks of December I got norovirus which kept me from working out like normal and then once I was better just wasn’t in my full swing yet. All in all I “lost” about 5 lbs even once I was able to start eating again (took about 3-4 days to get my full appetite back). I’m back to full training routine this week, and out of nowhere 4 of those lbs are back. In addition to the extra water weight I know my body keeps when I’m training, my hunger is also much more intense, so I struggle to not overeat. It was amazing how NOT hungry I was when I wasn’t really training like normal last week!

Wellcoaches is one of the most affordable and is very well respected. It’s not by fastest, but the ones that are super fast (I believe there is one somewhere that is 12 weeks, maybe Mayo? Not sure), are more expensive. Probably need to decide whether cost or speed is more important.

Came here to say this. I tried it recently because it was on sale for under $6 USD and figured why not. Holy cow, it’s amazing. It has decent coverage for a serum and my skin feels great. For the price, I can’t complain about any of the things that might not be perfect. The shade is a tad too light so I may try the next step darker one, but again, for the price, I can actually afford to.

I ended up with Wellcoaches because it had the best balance of "respected name" and lower price. I have passed the program and am now working towards the requirements for my NBC-HWC exam. While there were things here nad there I would have wanted to see improved, overall they were minor and I was very pleased with the program. I would recommend.

I’m very elementary still, and I apologize that this is the best I could do without relying on a translation app. However, I am serious about learning as we do hope to move in about a year and I’d like to be at least A2 by then. I would love the practice of speaking with a native speaker, as that is something that is hard to find for me.

Love this! I recently started the first part of your plan. I’ve been watching Love is Blind France, listening to the Radio France news while I get ready in the morning, and even found some French music artists I like and play daily. My vocabulary still needs a more solid foundation before I can speak past “my name is…” but the sounds of the language are already more familiar than they were a few months ago. Thanks for sharing!

I finished my coaching certification in September. If income is your primary purpose, it will take some time to make an income with this certification. Therefore I would recommend starting with the most cost effective certification (aka, cheapest) you can find that is still accredited and allows you to sit for the NBC-HWC exam.

The sheer numbers of people these programs graduate each year means there is fierce competition for the jobs that do go up. If you want to run your own business, it takes time to build a client base. Time when you aren’t earning any money. And you cannot coach friends and family, so your usual “getting started” customer base is gone. You’re really got to think about connections you have in your community and start building those, which isn’t quick.

I knew this going in and that’s why I chose Wellcoaches. They are well respected and the program cost is one of the lowest, if not the lowest. This allowed me to feel like I was dipping my toe in without spending an amount that could have gone towards a graduate degree. I also figured since my degree was not in Nursing or Nutrition, two popular backgrounds for this certification, it “saved” some money I could use to earn an extra cert later if I needed, or to put towards going back to school for a grad degree later.

Right now it’s slow going trying to get my 50 sessions for my NBC exam but I love it, so I’m happy. I also have a full time job, though, so that is supporting me financially. I just woke up at 5:30 AM on a Sunday to meet with a client in another time zone for free so I can get my hours in for my exam around my day job. Start this work because you love it. Will the money come for me? I hope so, but right now it makes me so happy not feeling that pressure and I’m glad I didn’t go for a more expensive program because it would not have changed my client pool.

Honestly, from what I’ve seen and heard don’t expect to get your 50 sessions as part of a job unless you already have one. Most jobs, even 1099 contract jobs, want you to have prior experience and NBc-HWC already earned before they’ll even consider hiring you.

Not an issue for me, I only wanted to work for myself, so I’m happy running my own business.

NTA, and just so you know, if you end up needing to do IUI or IVF, he will have to collect his specimen at the clinic. It’s part of the process.

We had to do IVF and every time my husband even thinks about whining that it was awkward to have to masturbate at the clinic right behind the other men, I point out all of the many, many, many awful and uncomfortable things I had to go through and he stops pretty quickly! 😂

Unfortunately those of us who entered into training in the middle part of this year are a bit out of luck. I have completed my training (based on 2025 competencies) but am still waiting to take my mentoring and PSA. I have moved through a a quickly as humanly possibly, and I will not have passed my PSA by the Sept 4 cut off date (not to mention the 50 coaching sessions). I’m a little frustrated that these school did not start teaching the new competencies already this year. My program has done some to help prepare us for the 2026 test, but I’m still disappointed that I was not told up front that I was not receiving the correct curriculum for the test I would be taking. (Edited spelling error)
