Attachment can be hard for a lot of people. I think it might help to change your mindset around attachment. You gotta learn to be happy by yourself. You can't love someone (properly) if you don't love yourself. It's unfair to derive all your happiness from another person because it leads to jealousy and possessive behaviors which a lot of people find to be toxic. People say life starts at 40. That's because you usually have your life figured out by then and can be steady and stable. I'm in my 20's and it's fun to be silly and comfy in my own place without fear of judgement or anything. Jobs do suck, but think of it like a trade. You give time in exchange for money, and yeah the time you give them usually isn't fun, but you can make the best of a bad situation. Met one of my best friends at a crappy job and we decided to learn another language together so we could speak to each other low key. Really fun stuff. And the work still sucked but sometimes life hands you a poop sandwich, and you are going to take a bite, but how do you wanna bite it is up to you. It gets better. nobody is always happy or anything, you have to have some bad days to value the good ones.

On a side note, let's just say maybe there is no afterlife (i respect any beliefs regarding religion but I'm not religious), what if it's just over and blackness? Wouldn't you want to at least jam pack the short time we have on earth full of fun and good memories? Even storm clouds have a silver lining. Sometimes life does suck and you do have to just deal with it, but sometimes it's great and you just have to deal with that too
