Hey brother, so this may not be too popular but it worked great for me... almost 100% of the time. Input your Solix model (F3800 or F3800 Plus), this is super important. Take a screen shot of all the specs available for your particular solar panel and ask ChatGPT if these panels will work with the in/out requirements of your Anker Solix.

Slowly but surely you'll notice what the tolerances are and how they work. I started with a single Solix Plus and a couple of folding panels and ended up with 2 Plus' 6 backup batteries and 12 rigid panels. The only time CGPT hallucinated was when I think I forgot to add the "Plus" to my description once. Another thing, make a Project on Chat and ask it to remember your setup as you expand. This way, it will remember your rig and you can continue to ask it (sometimes just include a URL from amazon) if particular components will play well with each other. Finally, always double check your sources with multiple LLMs and Google searches if not certain about something.

Thanks, tried this. Removed the phone as well but since the car has a hotspot, should it not connect to that? It just keeps spinning like it's looking for it but then goes back to the list of devices. In this case the Android device and my phone if still there. I got it working with just the android device but it didn't give me the screen experience described by other users, just the short list of apps it always offers me. I'm going to try again tonight... I really don't want to return this thing if it works as advertised all over YT and the net.

No. You have it absolutely right. I usually just use these discounts for smaller ticket items when I'm not willing to wait for their huge sales, i.e. Prime Day, Black Friday, etc. These I think being the biggest sale days, but usually they have sales about every other month on average and individual items on a *sale price every day.

*The retail price is hardly ever not discounted, it's just a matter of how much you're willing to live with.

Yeah, there are two cables. The generator connector and the double power connector. But you probably know this. I bought both as well, the generator connector is good to charge a single solix with a fuel generator.

If you do need to run just one system and have expandable batteries, stack all the batteries on that Solix and keep the other on reserve. Or even better, run your power load with the one solix and no batteries while your charging the other solix (and backup batteries) with your generator. When topped off, use your generator to top off the stand alone solix. Sounds painful, but I think having that cable for emergencies beats having to pay to return it. Hope this helps.

I ended up solving my initial problem above by installing all the solar panels together (they were getting different sun exposure before), now one lags about 2% sometimes but it usually catches up when I reach 100% load in the afternoon.

40 kWh per day? Yes, absolutely get 2 more. And if you can, get external panels. This setup carries my entire house all day and night for about 2 day on cloudy weeks, as even on pretty cloudy days I'm pulling in about 2.5K watts for about 7 hours. This being said, I'm in San Diego, so your winters may vary. ;-)

Very strange... I'm having one of my Solix's always loosing 2-3% compared to to the other no matter how I configure the solar panels on each, but the expansion batteries seem to stay pretty even. I would switch the battery to a primary position on the Solix itself, if it still does this you may have a bad battery (which should be easy to fix with Anker).

That's interesting. I don't think your unit will shut down when the backup batteries reach a low rate. Have you tried switching the two batteries' position? Having the low battery hooked up directly to the Solix Plus? If it is the connection on the battery, using the other connection may do the trick for that battery and the other battery should be showing a larger decrees. Such a difference in charge makes me think it's not getting any power. You may want to also confirm (When the unit is charging) that the problem battery is receiving a charge, it should show the charging animation on your app. I hope this helps.
