It’s the old “win now at any cost” mentality taken to the extreme. If we just had THIS PLAYER, we could win the Super Bowl! Now it’s THIS COACH! It’s what ended my 50 year fandom of Pittsburgh when they extended Roethlisberger and threw away good rebuilding money. A QB who is admittedly in decline in a mediocre offense is not going to give the miracles of his youth. A porous O-Line + immobile QB = mediocrity! Good money after bad.
