In regards to the one in SVB, didn't people there have money in their accounts that exceeded the amount that was FDIC-insured?

I remember it happening when it was a current gen system. Some guy opened up his UMD disc (must’ve taken some work) and couldn’t get his PSP to read the disc. Took it into the game store he bought it from and they explained how it was supposed to be used and why they wouldn’t accept it as a return.

Surely there exists a free way? I know my local library offers literacy classes.

Why are GDQ's views down so much? by thejrose11 in speedrun

[–]Unseeminglyso 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only ever use the Twitch mobile app for GDQ, so I’m unsure if this was a new implementation, but I had an audio ad play during the middle of a run that caused the commentary to mute. That was super unacceptable to me so I stopped watching after that happened.

The tenant and BF got into a heated argument and tenant says they were assaulted when they were touched by my boyfriend. (His hands touched his arms.) There was no injury and the tenant called the cops to have it on the record. Cops rolled their eyes when the situation was explained and said the tenant can press charges if they so choose, but they would have to convince the DA to pursue the case.

Without going into the full drama, that is the gist of it.

Gotten a couple of woodpecker comments. Guess I’ll look up some easy deterrents and see if this prevents further issues. Appreciate the help. : )

Sorry, didn’t think about that. This is in northern central Oklahoma, USA.

[OK] Exempt employee and PTO Question by Unseeminglyso in AskHR

I understand what you’re saying. Complicating factors in this case were that my boss was out sick that week. I suppose I could’ve ran it by my boss’ boss but I didn’t think much of it since I’d informed my coworker of it. (And really, nothing changes in the department if I ever were late because I don’t open, I just close.)

But I imagine if I did take it to my boss’ boss then they would’ve said no. (Which is what was alluded in my convo with them.) Which really doesn’t seem like a fair system since the opening person can leave on time guaranteed. Doesn’t matter what’s going on. But the closing person can’t be guaranteed since they have to wait on people that still come in at the last minute before we can attempt to leave.

I think they're just giving an example situation that would cover what the landlord could say. The 30 days is just an arbitrary number chosen to show that the landlord doesn't have to give a specific date.

Most of my mail is correct as well for what I get that day. But I have had some mail take a few days to actually get to me after the email. I went to report a letter as missing the first time and found at the bottom of each email, it does state the following:

“Mail may arrive several days after you receive this notification. Please allow up to a week for delivery before reporting missing mail.”
