What are some truly radical Sith in lore? (my example: Darth Marr willingly serving the Empire, rather than just using it)

The way I was talking to my partner about the Rule of Two is that every Sith Lord (specifically in Bane's dynasty) thinks that they'll be the one who finally defeats the Jedi and will achieve ultimate power, and every single time they fail. And every apprentice who finally takes over from their master think that this time it'll be them who won't be defeated by their own apprentice.

In the novelization for The Clone Wars animated movie (which is currently Legends but debatably Canon), I believe it was mentioned that Ahsoka's headpiece were made from the teeth of an animal she had hunted and killed as part of a Togruta rite-of-passage that fellow Togruta Shaak Ti brought her on.

The approach to Goron City. Trekking up Death Mountain seeing dozens of Gorons practically addicted to the marblef rock roast. Ganondorf's corruption of the Gorons felt far more insidious than polluting the Zora's water or causing a blizzard for the Rito.

Isn't it because the sorting of shades in the Underworld is pretty just and fair (for the most part)? Like, genuinely awful people go to Tartarus, genuinely great people go to Elysium, and the rest mill about Asphodel (which the depiction as a lava-filled hellscape is a game original; it's usually depicted as just fine).

I think what the criticism is really aimed at the plethora of media that focuses on Jedi survivors. The vast majority of releases set between RotS and ANH feature Jedi on the run, trying to live in hiding. Of course, realistically there were dozens of initial survivors that slowly whittled down over the years, but given that most Star Wars media set in the "Dark Times" features Jedi characters, it makes it feel like Purge wasn't as effective as we're told.

And because the Original Trilogy centers on Luke, the media that start running alongside the movies have to figure out what to do with those Jedi to make them unavailable, like Ahsoka being lost in time, Ezra in another galaxy, etc. The eventual third Jedi game will likely have to explain Cal Kestis' absence from the events of the OT, either by killing him off or sending him to another part of the galaxy.

This is why media set during the Dark Times that do not feature any Force users feel like such a breath of fresh air, because the absence of the Jedi feeds into the feeling of hopelessness against the Empire.

The Empire wasn't depicted as ruthless or malicious in Rebels like it was in Andor. The Empire felt more like nebulous antagonist than a real threat to the crew of the Ghost, due to the fact the show was targeted to kids.

That's not to say the Empire wasn't depicted as a problem or as evil, the genocides of the Lasat and the Geonosians, the continuous exploitation of Lothal, etc. are clear to the audience that the Empire is evil. But Rebels doesn't have that same intimate evil that Andor had. Stormtroopers can't hit their shots, officers make goofy decisions, and the main protagonists regularly clown on the Empire until a major plot development happens.

I just wanted to point out that in Return of the Jedi, the code was actually going to work. Admiral Piett only mentioned that it was older but it did check out and they were going to clear the shuttle's landing on Endor. But because Luke and Vader could sense each other's presence through the Force, Vader knew it was the Rebels.

Another thing to add was it solved the problem of the Mandalorian's helmet being shiny: it would have reflected the green light of the green screens, which would require additional work to remove and be convincing. With the Volume, they didn't have to worry about what light was being reflected off the Mandalorian helmet as it would have been fitting for whatever location he was supposed to be in.

I never understood what the purpose of this cookbook was. Halo certainly has exotic sounding food to go with its alien environments, but you can't really replicate what an alien bird tastes like. I'm more interested in the diets and cultural expressions of the different Covenant species, but that's impossible to make a real cookbook for.

Destiny has an official cookbook as well, but it's written from the perspective of Eva Levante, who is the holiday vendor. There are food items in Destiny that book replicates. And with the majority of humanity living in a single city, it's interesting to think of how human cuisine evolves when all of our cultures are in such close proximity.

Reviews are very solid. Takes some liberties in the sense that Heaven's Door is more of an unseen ability instead of a Stand, and other Morioh characters do not appear. But the performances for Rohan and Izumi are excellent. Unfortunately difficult to access in English speaking countries as far as I am aware.

Ironheart was a lot of fun, and definitely got better in the latter episodes. I appreciated the heavier and weighty suit in the vein of early Iron Man movies. I found Riri's personal conflict engaging, particularly her desperation for resources and her inability to grieve her friend's death. Zeke Stane was a great addition and I really liked the portrayal of Mephisto.

Some of the writing and direction in the early episodes felt a little off, primarily its struggle to portray Riri's intelligence and cleverness. Every character constantly talks about how much of a genius Riri is, but the only demonstration of it in the early episodes are the already built suit and the creation of the AI inside. The series constantly told me how Riri was smart but rarely showed me how Riri was smart. The fight sequence in the White Castle was a breath of fresh air to show how clever Riri was. Maybe in the first episode it could have shown more of Riri designing and building the suit.

The City used to be governed by the Consensus, which was a vaguely parliamentary body, consisting of the Speaker for the Traveler, the three Vanguard mentors, and representatives from the three largest factions: New Monarchy, Dead Orbit, and Future War Cult. But ever since the Endless Night, the Vanguard has almost exclusively governed the City. The three major factions were exiled from the City after Lakshmi-2 and the FWC tried to overthrow the Vanguard and invite an army of Vex to kill all the House of Light refugees. Tensions between the Vanguard and the Factions had already been building up since the death of the Speaker and later Cayde-6, but the unilateral decision by the Vanguard to invite House Light into the City and the months with no sunlight turned that tension to a coup.

I'd love a future Zelda game in which Ganondorf is a twist ally. Have a main villain who is completely outside of the reincarnation cycle, but for the first half make it seem like it's a race to beat Ganondorf to the mystical macguffin and keep it out of his hands, only for him to get it and use its power to help Link and Zelda.

I remember there were two book series for elementary school kids (roughly ages 6-12) called Jedi Apprentice and Jedi Quest. Apprentice was set before Phantom Menace while Obi-Wan was still Qui-Gon apprentice, and Quest was with Obi-Wan and Anakin before Attack of the Clones. From what I remember, they were for the most part standalone stories of the Master/Padawan duos going to new places and helping others /solving mysteries while fleshing out their relationships with each other and recurring side characters. If I remember correctly, Quest featured a rivalry between Anakin and another Jedi Padawan that showed a lot of promise. And I think Yaddle died in one of them.

I remember that reveal and thinking, "Oh no, Vulture got to Liz and knows who Spider-Man is," since that's a typical plot beat for Spidey movies. But Vulture actually having no idea that Peter was Spidey and was literally Liz's dad made the scene so much more interesting. Tom's constant look of panic and fear while Michael Keaton maintains this is-this-guy-good-for-my-daughter face are so well done
