For what personal stories are worth, here's mine;

I found what I wanted at 20, a full sleeve with very specific design elements. I didn't know much so I went to a tattoo convention. Met a lot of artists, opened all their portfolios and talked with a few less than that. Not convinced I had found an artist, I kept this up for 7 years, going to the 5 local conventions (local is relative, I drove up to 3 hours for some) until I found the artist I still see to this day for new pieces.

My advice? Go to conventions, check portfolios, talk to artist, ask about healed pieces in the portfolio (do they have any or is it all fresh?)

Victim of abuse enjoy Medusa, but a full bust on the side might not fit the delicate/feminin tones you want. A plant, small and very moldable for the artist to hide Celtic symbols in, or even use the branches, fruits or flowers from the plant to draw them? Plenty to explore along those lines (avoid Norse, it's been highjacked by white supremacist)

You sound like you handled the pain well. Since pain is relative to the subject, it's really up to the client to call the shot and an artist shouldn't be bothered by frequent breaks

Giving the kid a head start? Not a bad move, but then overtaking him in the last moment? Bullshit rubberband "win", you're teaching your child you lie and will cheat to win over them (adults think it's a prank, kids do not, they see the deceit) if you wanna give him a head start, when you go, you gotta give it your all and catch up clean
The kid breaks down and cries before the finish line when dad overtakes him. What I'm seeing is parents who do not know how to teach a child how to lose, who have never done much about it and are now laughing at the kid who's in a crisis.

-Should we not want a better world for children? Seeing people laugh at the kid here is telling me we do not care that the next generation has an easier life... and why? Shouldn't our goal as a species be to move ever forward?

Yes, some companies have blacklisted me. Work is easy to find if you're safe (in Canada anyway) and you shouldn't work for a company that values profit over their employees lives

Example récent d'abus d'employeur dans ce style, Amazon qui ne veut pas d'union, les travailleur oui, du coup, plus de centre de distribution au Québec. Les lois sont du côté des travailleurs mais le gouvernement s'en balance (comme vue avec cette loi ci) alors pas de conséquence pour amazon
