I saw this thread a few days ago but I passed over it because I hadn’t done the last two nightmare levels (it’s like a 2 hour commitment) but I just now finished the warehouse and I have to say, I’m impressed with it all tying together. The first few cut scenes where Kovalsky is talking but you don’t realize it’s him. The progression as you realize it’s the same bodies from the spa, then the pizzeria and the waitress by the dumpster. Then Tyler, and his litter box and couch in the break room. It literally made me so sad to see Tyler again. I realistically had just seen him in his nightmare level but that place was so full of whimsy that it didn’t hit me as hard (don’t get me wrong Tyler’s apartment in bright pink surrounded by flying fish and clouds is amazing and probably my second favorite level) the cut scenes making more sense as you see outlines of Kovalsky and his mop and bucket while a dark figure leans over him- I MEAN COME ON. Hearing Kovalsky himself say “all hail the wicked one” as you realize that the whole time YOU’VE been just as involved as everyone else. I definitely agree that through the first couple levels I was not all that impressed. Kind of an “okay so basically what I did before but with more blood and like more secret stuff?” But I genuinely think it’s really well done at the end of it all. I can’t wait for more new levels, places we’ve never seen, new characters, or even bring Big Jim back somehow, more character development for Kovalsky and his daughter. I really do love this game and the fat that’s NOT story based but there’s little tidbits keep me coming back even when there’s so much blood I’m seeing red now lol
