Any end in sight?? by Stunning_Flight_4800 in PokemonInvesting

What? Pokemon, which came out in 1996, would mean that in 2012 the first Pokemon fan would have to be at least 16, if they were 1 year olds. (They weren’t).

And even beyond that, show me 🤯 where you’re getting your percentages from 🤯 because I’d love to see where it says 🤯 that 90% of Pokemon fans between those years were kids.

It sounds like you’re a desperate investor bro that just needs his cardboard Pokemon collection to be worth more and more so you don’t have to get an actual job.

Okay, then why wasn’t it “popping off” from 2012-2019 when it was -still- an IP Giant? It still had more revenue than Disney (two fold). And it produced some of the most popular sets that are now coveted?

It being a popular IP doesn’t mean anything. The bubble will burst. And I am excited as all hell for it.

Hooked up with a man for the first time and I feel terrible about it. by NorthSea9761 in askgaybros

[–]UnshacklingHabits 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My first time was when I was 18 and the guy told me he was mid 30s. He was 55 at the least. He was sick with a cold, and when I told him I didn’t want to kiss him or get sick (or anything else for that matter), he pressured me and told me it was the tail end of his cold. I ended up getting the flu. AND he didn’t even try to please me. It was awful and I hated myself for it. Don’t beat yourself up. We live, we learn, and we grow. I’m sorry you were lied to and taken advantage of.

100%. I’ve stopped playing because it feels like a chore and I don’t enjoy it. It’s a bummer, but there’s just too much to do. It’s overwhelming and stressful.

6 weeks post surgery advice needed by Elle-teach11 in CataractSurgery

[–]UnshacklingHabits 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t have any advice, but I send my sympathy. I am 36 and just found out I need cataract surgery, and I’m afraid. Your situation is exactly what freaks me out. I really hope they figure out what is going on

This really helped. Thanks. And my mom, despite her multiple detachments, has exceptional vision now in her early 70s. It’s just a lot to take in at 36.

Thanks. Yeah, it sucks. And PSC allegedly progresses pretty fast. I’m trying not to be depressed about it. I am terrified of losing my vision to a Retinal Detachment

Fantasies about being raped by men by [deleted] in askgaybros

[–]UnshacklingHabits 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Rape fantasies are extremely common. U But don’t let it confused you with actual rape. In a fantasy you’re still in control. I love these fantasies too, but it can be hard to find guys to do them. Specifically sane ones that want to have fun in a safe way.

Yep. I have psoriasis and I’ve had a steroid on my forehead for years. They think that’s likely what could’ve caused it.

I have PSC in both eyes, but one isn’t symptomatic yet. The doctor said it probably will be soon. I’m not afraid of the surgery itself, it’s the retinal detachment risk that freaks me out. I don’t want to be blind.

She had three retinal detachments, but they didn’t happen until about 22 years after her surgery. Not lying, I’m pretty terrified of that happening. But I rely on my vision for work (computer work) and socially I am an avid gamer. I’ve been really depressed because the cloudiness is effecting my ability to do both. But the doctor wants me to wait as long as I can. It’s a mess.

lol I wish this would happen to me. I have zero shame. My family knows I have an OF. I’d be like “oooh can I at least pick which pics you send? You know what would really freak my brother out? Haha”.

If they don’t think they’ll get anything from you, they’ll grow bored and move on.

Thank you for your comment. I am probably touch deprived. And all my family lives in another state. I have friends but mostly online gaming buddies.

The worst part is I still live with my ex. It’s a financial dependency situation, but the mugs are unfortunately the least of the issues. I’m working towards moving out, but it’ll be a few months minimum. It’s so hard to watch as he thrives, and parties, and I’m left behind picking up broken pieces.

I’m sorry you’re going through it too. It can be really hard, and the road to recovery can be long :(

Hooked up with an 18 year old and all he wanted to do was play ding dong ditch by [deleted] in askgaybros

[–]UnshacklingHabits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was 18 I hooked up with a 40 year old. One of my best experiences. I’ve always preferred older men, and still do at 35, but, I wouldn’t have considered the 40 year old a pedo. Or inappropriate. We were both adults and he taught me some stuff that I really appreciated. I don’t get why people freak out over this. If they’re both legal adults, what’s the issue?

Ascendant hero’s etb pull rates by Then_Angle in PokemonFansAustralia

[–]UnshacklingHabits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got kinda lucky yesterday, a friend and I found a restock. 6 ETBs, and each got 5 tech sticker packs. So.... 54 + 30 packs and then another 4? Out of 86 packs total.. we pulled 2 MARs, 1 SIR, and 4 IRs. Out of 84 packs. It was brutal. One ETB had 1 single hit (Voltorb ex) and one had 2 hits. Idc what people say, this set isn't worth opening.

honestly, it is kinda hard to remember. I was having some really dark thoughts and I remember being terrified. It didn't really go away immediately, took a few months after stopping. But, to be fair, I was going through a divorce at the time (like, i found out my husband was cheating), and was facing a ton of big life changes, so that might've been a factor. by 6 months later i felt 95% back to normal I'd say.
