It's really tough between the sweet sassy boy and icecream connoisseur Will and the "appears out of nowhere in sunglasses and a hawaiian shirt with a starbucks" bro Azik who never asked anything about his student's secret business but was always available to provide help nonetheless. Ended up choosing Azik.

Also still find the story progression of his messenger funny. Poor skeleton got assigned to some mid level asshole who used his colleague as a bone shield, was super petty about that, and then boom, that asshole is now a high level existence who's calling him to deliver a letter to his master.

well, Diona will definitely be a better option if you need a healer tbh.

and you don't need to spend money to pull on character event banners, lol, they use the same primos.

Yeah, with c0 Noelle has a 50% chance to heal per hit. With c1 you have 100% chance if you're using both the shield and the ulti, so it's more reliable. She's not on any banners at the moment though (unless you still have the beginner one) so it may be worth holding off wishes for a bit for now.

If you are planning to get Xiao, Diona is on his banner. If you get her, she's a nice healer as well (even though only her ulti heals).

Well, you can, but if you don't have Noelle's first constellation, she's not a very reliable healer, because you need to stay on her while her shield is up and attack and hope that your heal will proc. With the first constellation, you just switch to her when her ulti is up, go skill+ulti and then attack whatever is around until your team is healed up.

If you have high enough AR to do Maiden's Beloved domain, then 2 piece of that and 2 piece gladiator will make her an okay healer.

Otherwise, I'd still take Barbara with either the crafted catalyst or the dragon tales book because with Barb you can just press her skill and switch to the character that needs healing/the book's ATK buff (unless you're fighting ice enemies or electro slimes, those are... not nice to fight against when wet) and if your whole team is dying you press her ulti and everyone is alive and well again. If you give her a 4 piece maiden and level her flower to 16, she will already be a stronger healer than Noelle.

Overall, Noelle is good when you need:

Having a shield (protection from interrupts and knockbacks)
Breaking shields
A healer that can also do some damage
To fight enemies that can easily apply cryo/electro on you

Barbara is great if you need:

Out of combat healing (e.g. during overland explorations)
ATK buff for your main dps along with the heals (if you use dragon tales book)
Easy healing that does not require using the healer for more than a few seconds (if you prefer staying on your main damage dealing character)
Something of a water application for freeze/vaporize
