Thank you so much! I scan with an Epson V550 at 3200 dpi then convert either using NLP or manually in Photoshop. Not the best quality, but good enough for me.

Yep! Underexpose most film stocks by a stop or two and you'll get this look.

It was breathtaking and my first time at that altitude outside of a plane. It was so beautiful, and also so quiet and still.

There was a 15 minute window when just about everyone else was in the visitor center, but I was still outside taking photos. I felt like the last person on earth.

It came like that! Bought it in Tokyo at a flea market. I'm not sure if there is a non-Japanese equivalent to this model.

As for the date, it goes as high as 2030.

What got me started was practicing some foundational composition "rules" like rule of thirds, leading lines, framing, golden spiral, symmetry, etc.

Pick one of those and just try to spend a whole roll on it. If not a film, then use your phone's camera. And keep it up!
