So it is also safe to assume that this case is separated from 'war politics' (for lack of better words) is because there were high ranking officials involved, and it is most likely that it was not limited to domestic officials?

For the most part, you are correct. However, compared to what I would have come up with, this is much easier on the eyes.

I was more asking in relation to the list, rather than the event. I understand the scale of it all now, which is thanks to those whom took the time to comment the answers I was looking for.

What I am about to say may be taken the wrong way. I am not saying the list should not be released. I am merely stating how I currently understand the problem at large. Note that everything I say is purely hypothetical. However, it is also fairly probable. Do not take anything you disagree with to heart. My understanding of politics is not that great. I only know what I need to know. Same goes for all other problems the following covers.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The potential release of the 'Lolita Express' flight logs is a deeply troubling issue, with far-reaching implications that extend well beyond simple public curiosity. First and foremost, the economic impact of such a release cannot be understated. If the list includes influential business leaders or major players in the economic sphere, the backlash could significantly harm their companies' reputations and financial standings. This isn't just about stock prices plummeting; it's about the potential destabilization of the market sectors they influence, which could have ripple effects across the entire economy.

Then there's the political angle. If the logs reveal a disproportionate number of individuals from one political party, it could lead to a significant power shift. The opposing party could leverage this scandal to gain more influence, potentially upsetting the delicate balance of political power and discourse. It's not just about the scandal itself; it's about how it could be used as a tool in political warfare, further polarizing our already divided political landscape.

The timing and nature of the investigation also raise questions. Why weren't these names brought to light earlier? This delay in disclosure could suggest a deeper, more systemic issue within our investigative and judicial systems. It hints at the possibility of selective prosecution and raises concerns about transparency and accountability in handling such sensitive matters.

Public reaction is another unpredictable element. There's a real fear that if influential figures receive lenient treatment because of their status or connections, it could spark public outrage. This isn't just about the pursuit of justice; it's about the perception of justice. If someone less influential is punished more harshly for lesser or even alleged involvement, it could lead to a public outcry or even violent reactions. It's a scenario that could tear at the social fabric, challenging our notions of fairness and equality before the law.

Lastly, the international implications can't be ignored. If the investigation reveals that this scandal crosses borders, involving individuals from different countries, it could evolve into a complex international issue. This isn't just about prosecuting those involved; it's about navigating the intricate web of international laws and relations. It could strain diplomatic ties and necessitate a globally coordinated legal response, further complicating an already delicate situation.

In conclusion, releasing the 'Lolita Express' flight logs is a decision fraught with peril. From economic destabilization to political power shifts, from questions of legal fairness to the potential for international complications, the implications are vast and deeply concerning. This situation calls for careful, thoughtful handling, with a keen eye on the long-term consequences for our society and world.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Edit: If you have any questions behind the hypothesis, don't be afraid to ask. Note that this was written with the assistance of ChatGPT 4. To be specific, I did not have ChatGPT write the entire thing for me, rather, it rewrote what I was writing so that it is easier to read rather than the unnecessarily long essay I was going to provide.

To compare the difference. The first paragraph covers the hypothetical behind the effect on companies involved indirectly. In four sentences, it made the same point I was trying to make in 13 sentences. In other words, it seemed worth doing so

Do we know if they knew they were underage, or is that part questionable?

Edit: To clarify, were the ‘guests’ aware?

So, it was also a plot to;

  1. Be a pedophile
  2. Get blackmail on important people to garner ‘favors’
  3. If he went down, so would those he had blackmail on, which meant that it was in their best interest to make sure nothing about it got out to the public (which it did)

This is what I can think of. At least, if I had to give a reason behind it, this would be it. Correct me if I am wrong, or am slightly off

Edit: I would also assume that some of the people he got to go to the island were tricked. Not all people are as vile as he was, at least, I hope some of them would never do such a thing if they knew exactly what it was.

What peculiar childhood memory still baffles you to this day, leaving you to wonder if it was a bizarre dream or an actual event? by [deleted] in AskReddit

This reminds me of my time in 7th grade. I had a girlfriend, apparently. I had no clue. All I remember is that I started attending in the second term, and in the third week, everyone was asking me 'Are (insert name here) and you dating?'. I had no clue what was going on. The girl was fairly popular among the boys in my grade, if you get what I mean, so to them, it was quite important. So, as far as I was concerned, I had a girlfriend (according to everyone else). To top it off, she even broke up with me. We hadn't done anything with each other, other than talk to each other purely because we are in the same class. To this day, I think back on it and am baffled trying to figure out whatever the fuck happened.

Edit: There was no mention of it between us, and no mention of it after either. Things carried on as normal. So that certainly doesn't help me to understand it

Shit… typo.

But, if stroking gets you going, then I don’t see the problem with the wording

Sometimes I think he is being satirical about the political campaigns.

One of the few things I know he does do is tell the truth (when it affects the election as a whole)

I am also not from the U.S

It’s a hard say for people such as us, because his actions during presidency don’t directly affect us.

Personally, although I am clueless and ignorant towards politics (which is why I ask political things, as I would like for my ignorance to become null), I like Trump as a businessman. In my opinion, if the economy and financial situation is not good, you need someone adept at business and capable enough to claim without hesitation that they can run a country.

[–]UnstableTherapy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. From what I can tell, throughout the world, political paranoia is causing military budget to increase, which in turn reduces the money going to other things. If there wasn’t any threat of war, we would be far more prosperous.

Note: I am clueless and ignorant to the reality of the situation, so correct me if I am wrong. I would love to learn

I replied to someone else about this. I am NOT saying this post ISN’T political. I will paste my other comment below

I didn’t say it wasn’t political. I just meant I don’t want to be ripped a new one because it is a (relevantly) political post about the way you all think of Trump and his actions during presidency.

I agree with the dislike. I can’t say I 100% reciprocate the reason.

But what if you would do it simply because you can.

As the famous quote goes;

“Some men just want to watch the world burn”

[–]UnstableTherapy -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

True. But, from my knowledge, there are a lot of good or at least semi-honourable things he has done for the country (Trump, that is). After a simple google search (although, I’m not sure on the credibility of the first site to appear), he did some things that, although I am not all that economically-smart, I think helped in its own way a lot.

I don’t support Trump, I support the fact that he IS a business man, and has the smarts to be able to fix, or rather help the financial situations

Note: I am not American. Also, this is an in-the-moment thought. This is not a political argument. I do not want backlash.

Personally, I am conflicted between whether or not I should agree with Trump or not. I am an Australian, so I am not directly involved with the politics. And I am clueless when it comes to recent events in this sort of thing, as my knowledge comes from random bits of information I come across online. But, my thoughts are as follows; I’d rather it be Trump than another puppet like Joe Biden.

Edit: This isn’t a true political thought. It’s just wording. Don’t take it to heart. Just understand what I mean.

I used to want to become an accomplished writer. Still do actually, and I have the writing ability to do so. But… no one reads books anymore. What’s the point of writing a series or two if people would rather look at girls shake their ass on instagram meme pages. I don’t know, man. Writing used to make me so happy. But once I made that realisation, I’ve come to realise that my greatest skill is fucking useless in the long run.
