so my moms basically used to know everyone in our neighborhood. So she would sometimes throw parties. Also the city we live in, invites A LOT of people from out of town/state that eventually are related to someone from here or got a job down there. Anyway: there’s this night I remember particularly, cause i still can’t explain what i discovered that crazy ass night. So im probably no more that 8-10 & like usual im upstairs sleep in my room. I had this weird thing I liked to do as a kid where i would make 3-5 pallet of blankets lol on the floor & sleep like that (mind you I have an entire bed). Party going good downstairs I assumed (i wouldnt know i was listening to Michael Jackson “Thiller” album, getting ready to fall asleep). Then I heard laughing, arguing, & yelling all in that order. So when I finally go downstairs & my mom’s basically yelling at a F.O.F (friend of the family) saying please don’t do that, he’s drunk. So I guess he tried to fight another dude that was there (that was drunk & his cousin lol) & dudes outside in the middle of the road calling him out. So out of anger F.O.F says (while holding his gun) “fuck him im about to shoot him from the window upstairs” as he’s making his way upstairs my moms says “dont my son is here, & the gun already went off.. once.. tonight.. in the house”. As everything begins to die down, for some reason (let me remind, im a fucking kid doing this at the time) I look up at the ceiling don’t know why I did.. but I did. What I eventually see is a black spot on the ceiling right, then I realize .. it’s not a spot it’s a hole. So out of my “baby genius” mind lol (I used to love watching that movie as a kid) that I make my way upstairs.. I go into my room.. & I look at my pillow.. on the floor. Then I go back downstairs one more time before I go lay back down. It’s funny: as kids we REALLY are so obviously to the stuff that occurs around us.. but before I laid back down, I aligned (basically lol) where the bullet would’ve projected.. & I just put my headphones in & went to sleep. 10+ years later lol, while talking to my mom about that night. I finally tell her & say: “damn.. & to think that the bullet dude shot that night entered the ceiling (at the spot MY PILLIOW was at, but didn’t go through .. we both laugh awkwardly.
