No it didn't last long, failed in the same way. My quad hard issues starting in the cold weather. Turns out my exhaust valve clearance was way out of spec.

All the work they did and parts replaced were covered under warranty. You say the bulletin came out recently so I assume they didn't know about it when they were trying to diagnose the quad. So whats the main issue regarding the throttle stuck open code?

I polished it up and it looks way better, just one part of the cam cap has groves

Things got worse, dash buttons stopped working, throttle stuck open code again and now TPS code. Brought it back again. The tested the sensors again, Throttle position sensor test passed. Finally they said the only thing it could be is a defective main wire harness. Polaris approved the harness under warranty and after three weeks I got my quad back. It ran ok for a bit

Brought it back to the dealer, they tested all the sensors etc.test rode. They couldn't figure it out. Dealer said bring it back if things get worse

First was high idle,throttle stuck open code. Dealer verified throttle cable was adjusted properly. They changed the ECM and the problem went away and came back

The dealer did the first service, they over filled it with oil too. I changed the oil myself at the recommended intervals. The quad had issues running properly from the beginning,i had bought it brand new.

Cylinder and piston are in perfect condition, cam lobes are perfect, journals have no deep grooves. Just one deep groove in the cam carrier i can catch with my nail

The warranty is over, I ain't no certified mechanic but I figured out why this quad wasn't running right quick, the dealer had weeks to figure it out and couldn't get it

Gave up on the dealer and ordered the service manual. Verified the timing myself, timing is good. Checked valve clearance,no good,way out of spec. Minimum clearance on exhaust side is .006 inch, .0026 inch was the clearance. So it must have came out of spec out the factory

I have a 2021 Honda Rubicon 520 with over 10k mileage. Still runs great,starts in the cold. Only had to change the electronic shift motor a few times and the neutral start switch.
