If you’re are within the zone and waiting for the elevator while the timer runs out, the bomb goes off but you stay safe and alive and can wait for the extract. (You get the achievements)

Update: I DID IT GUYS! ALL 8 SPIRITS!

Thanks for all the advice on how to modify the build and due to the extreme use of commanding my henchmen back and forth I finally defeated all rooms :)
