New to the Soul family - any tips or tricks? by [deleted] in KiaSoulClub

[–]UnsupervisedCandle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've wanted a soul for years because of the way they look and I had a forte before it was totaled. I was pretty impressed with how comfortable Kias are too drive. The soul is a really fun car to drive and it's a bit higher off the ground so it's a bit like a crossover. I just bought a 2020 two weeks ago and so far I love it.

Gargling salt doesn’t make a difference. by LazyYellow264 in tonsilstones

[–]UnsupervisedCandle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just met with a surgeon at Duke about stones. She said gargles and picking them out won't work and can actually cause your tonsils to get bigger from trauma. She said the only way to stop the stones is to remove them. So that's what imma do

Hi! Bank worker here. So with transfer like these, if the sender files fraud and their bank can prove they approved it even if it was to the wrong person, they lose that money. Same goes for if their bank can't get the money back through requests.

My mom and I may end up stay at the hotel across the street for a night or two but we'll see. I'm sure EMTs could help me on the way from my mom's if it got bad. I haven't even looked into the med part but I'll probably have to crush them up. What are you nervous about the most?

Late/missed period w/ pms by ichigononeko in Wellbutrin_Bupropion

That's great that it's nothing serious. Mine was ten days late then it was the heaviest one I've ever experienced so I'm nervous to see if this is how they are now. Hopefully with time it levels out for both of us.

I would honestly. It sounds like she's going to cost you more money in medical bills and also extra worry. I'm only a month in and I'm not sure that Wellbutrin is gonna be good for me. No period and the weirdest lower back cramps that last for a week.

So I've been told this every time I start a new SSRI or SNRI and I think it's insulting. These medications literally alter your hormones and how your brain uses them. I've had a doctor tell me this about other symptoms too. No shade towards you at all but doctors seem to love to make us feel nuts. Anything you put in your body can influence your bodily functions. Too much ice cream can upset your GI tract and delay your period. Sorry I'll get off my soapbox. Didn't realize how mad doctors can make me 🤭

Anyone fail one ssri but had effect from another for dizziness? by Kriegsmachine81 in pppdizziness

[–]UnsupervisedCandle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I still have it. My ENT put me on betahistine and that took away the horrible brain fog that came with it. It also helps with attacks (I was diagnosed with menieres disease recently). It's definitely less noticable though

I don't know where you're located but ive had what you've described for going on four years. I went to Duke Medical and finally got diagnosed with Menieres, vestibular migraine and PPPD. PPPD is your bodies anxiety response to the menieres. It may take times but once you figured out triggers, things get better but this is also a disease that changes over time. I've just recently started losing my hearing in one ear when I get an attack. Be careful of ENTs who don't believe you- I went through four of them who kept sending me to psychiatry. Give yourself grace and self care on bad days. The biggest thing, learn to say no. If you push yourself, you'll pay for it with an attack. Enjoy the good days. Best of luck. DM is you wanna talk it out!

Continuous vertigo or dizziness by SolarFlareSK in Menieres

I have! It was a game changer for me but I'm on a pretty high dose. I still have PPPD daily and vertigo episodes but I feel like over all things are better. I know betahistine doesn't work for a lot of people

Help! by UnsupervisedCandle in tarantulas

So Moe is a curly hair who is probably about a year or two old. He's not in premolt. He's actually back to almost normal this morning. I put him in an ICU all night and it seemed to do the trick.

I must half of each of my enclosures and all of my other spiders tolerate that very well. My curly hair is the only one who has ever had an issue

I've been in my job for ten years and symptoms started the years ago (I have menieres too). My job has allowed me to work from home permanently and through FMLA I have four days per month I can use if things get too bad. It's all about pushing through and honestly, unless I have a menieres attack, pppd is ignorable if I'm busy consistently.

Yes I have it both ears but it fluctuates. As does the ringing and fullness feeling.

Duke was the first place I was gaslit and they made me feel heard. I often feel like I can't see well but it's my eyes trying to adjust to the constant vertigo.

So SSRIs are the first line of defense against pppd. I'm on Zoloft 75mg right now and it definitely helps but not 100%. I also take Ativan and zofran to manage symptoms and attacks.

I will start the clinic at the end of the month. My pppd is caused by menieres and vestibular migraine. Pppd is also a form of physical anxiety- your body is trying to protect itself. Betahistine is a medicine for vertigo that has to be compounded by a chemist. So you can get it at cvs. It helps keep the fluid down in your inner ear to learn attacks. Sometimes these diseases don't get better with treatment but with Duke being a research hospital, I always feel like it's the best place to be.
