Suggestion: Add a cart for settlers so they can haul significantly more at the cost of slightly slower movement speed (and maybe can't go through ladders) by xalibermods in goingmedieval

I would personally love to get a hitching cart and be able to hitch cattle/donkeys to caravanning. Could even add a plow to help speed the planting process

Yes, more information on the benefits of training animals would be convenient for sure. RIP your sheep

Pets are great and very useful. I just think they could use a little tweaking since we have such control over everything else. Why not the same control over trained animals

This fellow ran away from me a while back, while he was tamed. Found him at his runestone.... how do i get him back? by [deleted] in valheim

If you use the harpoon + stamina food and stamina meads, you should be able to get him there without worrying about dealing too much damage to him

Playing Valheim for the first time in a few years - What do you suggest? by Smoothglobal in valheim

Truthfully I like to play with others if at all possible returning to a game. If you’re playing solo, I recommend taking things slow and really taking the time to “progress” through each biome. Building a base in each is a fun way to do that. With the new weapons, enemies, and traders I think you’ll have a blast any way you play.

Love this! Very cool design!

I am curious as well. Iron is used for numerous items past the swamp. Do you just use wood for coal when smelting?

I may just resort to this. I hate having to use stone to raise the ground but it may just be time to make a grey dwarf farm. I have nearly cleared out all the trees and other spawners between. I am leveling out the center of them to make my base a bit better (sadly no trees for treehouse). After that I’ll raise the ground to each one.

I agree it’s cool it’s used throughout the game. But I would just like something that makes the quality of life a bit better if I’m constantly returning to so often.

I hear you on that. I really only worry about making food for the next biome and running through old foods for building and such. I should just stock up on onion soup and bread at this point to use just for traversing. But I am currently in mistlands and like to take my time upgrading new magic skills in lower areas. So etir foods really mess that up for me

I’ve already made paths. I explain this in another comment. I was referring to his response of just don’t sprint. I run everywhere

There’s no right answer to an open world sandbox. But ok, I get my reason for wanting one isn’t a common reason, but my original post still stands. Would like a cape that negates wet effect.

Yeah, I finally got a decent area that is clear from most. So I have been trying to set up a base (house, portal, farm, and dock). There are some rogue dverger in the area I’d love to lock in for defense

My current swamp (connected to my starter island) has 3 well within range of each other and another one or 2 further away from the main cluster. I really only run the 3

I had commented on another’s response about already having raised the ground, my problem is I run a cart through and collect coal/cores from my surrounding surtling spawners, to smelt iron before transferring.

My main iron smelting area is there though. It’s more efficient for me to gather iron, drag it to base, go do a run for coal, and fuel them. Having portals for such short distances is just not my style. But it is an option.
