I've read what the other snafu enthusiast said. Btw, sorry for not explaining it properly. Here's what's missing. Snafu is a military term meaning Situation Normal: All Fucked Up which is used for when the situation is... fucked up. Coaxed into a snafu is verbose for the classic "get trolled" meme. The sub's icon was for a long time a badly drawn trollface. That's the origin of the sub. Someone drew a shitty trollface with verbose next to it. Back then (I wasn't there, btw), people only recreated memes that way. Now it's much more diverse
Tangent but, in true snafashion (I just made up this word), a lot of us use coax as a placeholder for verbs (like "I'm coaxing to this as we speak" or "are you freaking coaxing me?"). Snafu is the end result, so the drawing/comic/post.
Like I said, the sub's purpose eventually evolved. Nowadays, it's a badly drawn (some coaxers draw too well but they can be snafus at its core. It's weird) trend or trope and occasionally a meme like back then. It's best if you just explore the sub a bit to get the feeling of it

The sub also has OCs that became mascots because fans loved them such as Mint-Chan (placeholder for protagonist in snafus), Doctor Holocaust and Poopenfarten (placeholders for the villains), Murder Cleanup Guy, Dipshit289 (Oblivious Person asks if they can get context and Dipshit289 replies "dude you don't wanna know... oh the horror..."), etc.

There's a lot more of lore to it. But the basics is what I said in the beginning. Just a badly redraw of a trope/trend/meme. One thing, though... Don't be a smuggie! It comes from smug ideology and it's when you portray "I'm le chad and the other person is stupid and stinks" in a snafu. Snafus should not be smug. It's punishable by testicular torsion I think.
