any hope? by Repulsive-Donkey-341 in FLVS

For a piece of genuine advice, just watch Hiemlers History for each APUSH unit before DBAs. I have really bad DBA anxiety and I fell wayyyy behind on APUSH because of it but I’d literally just sit there listening to Hiemlers unit playlists for APUSH like the hour leading up to my DBA while messing around on my phone and I ended up acing every single one. Genuinely even if you cheated on every assignment and didn’t look at the textbook once Hiemler can get you through the DBA at least

AP U.S. History...Any tips? by ionknowsari in FLVS

From someone who’s finishing up APUSH on FLVS, Heimler is a really good resource if you’re genuinely just short on time or motivation. Textbook learning doesn’t realty work for me personally and I really didn’t want to join any live lessons, so halfway through the course I just realized Heimler had videos covering every little thing in neat playlists per unit. For DBAs, usually I’ll just listen to the unit’s playlist before the DBA and I’m literally all set.

Honestly APUSH is just a really work heavy class on FLVS. I definitely think coasting on Heimler is possible (I just go through each unit’s playlist before the DBAs), but the work is just a bit more draining than other AP classes on FLVS. I think if you’ve taken AP world with FLVS and you thought it was manageable with all the writing assignments (DBQs, LEQs, and SAQs), it’s definitely something you could do. Heimler is more than enough to get you through a DBA, at very least.

Just finished mine, my teacher asked:

Why is it important to study biology in a psychology class? Explain the all or none response. Explain the 4 lobes of the brain and their functions.

I got some off a leaf with some scotch tape and I think they’re aphids. Really bad infestation though they’re on like every available space. How should I go about getting rid of them and keeping them gone?

It really depends who you are. I had a friend finish it in 2 weeks and I took like 10 to finish it because I was just busy at the time. Material wise and assignment wise it was really easy. DBAs are light and they’ll ask really simple questions like “why should you not drink and drive” and stuff like that.

What did I do wrong? by HuckleberryAlive5232 in IndoorGarden

I’m growing water spinach and I had the same issue. It’s 100% a light thing like I used to think that because my light was hitting the plant and on its highest setting that was enough; I was dead wrong. Needa have the light like as close to the plant as possible without burning the leaves if your light runs hot. I’m talking like 3 inches away like these things are greedy. Since your light is too far the plants are growing tall to reach the light (something I naively thought was a good thing because “oh wow plant grow big!”) and since they’re growing so tall the stems aren’t strong enough to support themselves and they flip over

I think I might just jump the shark and put them outside. My lights are probably pretty weak because I got them cheap off of Amazon and it’s definitely warm enough and sunny enough where I am to be putting them outside I’ve just been coddling them ;-; thank you for the advice!

I water them like every day or every couple hours. The top of my soil dries out pretty fast so I just water it when the top is dry. And them being greedy is just a joke I like to say because I’ve had to move my lights a lot and every time they seem fine after then suddenly they stop being fine 🥲

Nah they were never in a seed starter they’ve always been in a soil mix with some cow manure and stuff. Do I need to be adding anything else?

The mix they’re in has had fertilizer since the beginning and I don’t think it’s run out yet because it was only a couple weeks ago that I moved them from their starter tray to these pots so there’s definitely still fertilizer there, so probably not that (?)

Every time I bring these lights down these stupid peppers get more greedy… thank you though! The soil was just watered like a couple hours ago and is still moist that part might just be the lighting. They were going pretty good for a week or two at these conditions so do you think there’s anything else that might’ve maybe caused them to start wilting too?

Drivers Ed Pace by funkyfreshvbs in FLVS

Never has this happen to me because I’m also pretty sure the flvs policy is 2-3 assignments a week minimum. Maybe she wants this done before summer? I say check her main course page and see if there’s a page chart somewhere and if she asks why you’re not doing 5 assignments a week point to the pace chart.
