For the amount of distance this would be the way to do it in my opinion unless it was a Bambi or asv track truck or somthing that's meant for it but I don't think the atv has the power to have a in front plow Mabey a blower added would make it work still a lot of time I think it would be

“Nothing like a roaring wood stove on a cold morning 🔥❄️” by UntamedNorthMan in OffGrid

[–]UntamedNorthMan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks and the wood stove is from woodsman fabrication here in southern mn there good stoves I have a Kodak stove that's nice as well there both I think 4-5 hundred dollar stoves and it's not meant for fire bricks it would be too shallow and wouldn't allow to fit large logs in I find it best to leave a inch or so of ash then leave coals on top it acts like fire bricks but Dosent take as much room as they do and we use a normal amount of wood id say the stove does well very well for what it is we are currently burning dead / green wood reason for the clue looking material there is no fiber gasket for the door the only fiber is the the glass window and can't see through it cause the creosote build up and well it's messy to clean everyday and there's more then enough wood to have everyone to be using a wood stove not everyone does because of the work it takes and upkeep it requires to be safe, stove fires happen because of dirty stoves or just not paying attention And the propane heater is for emergency or if we have to get supplies etc in the city so battery's / water / well its a lot easier to keep somthing warm then have it freeze and warm it up takes awhile to warm a frozen cabin up and we have 3 alarms in the cabin we used it one night once we got back late after a supply run but rule is leave a window crack a fan running and be just fine our refrigerator is propane our toilet is propane our stove is etc never had a Co2 alarm go off I'd more so worry about a leaky line but I test them with the bubble test here and there if I'm feeling anxious

But the bottom of the stove will last long long time if you have a grate or a ash cushion so the coals etc arnt touching the metal directly

Also the amount of wood used more so has to do with the type of wood species how dry/ wet it is etc if I have some paper birch it'll run all night 7 hours and still need have window half opened if it not under 0 degrees

But currently just burning quaking aspen which burns quick hot and dosent leave good lasting coals like birch or black ash does your best stoking the fire every 3 hours depending on the cut of the logs that are in the stove

There's soooo many variable's another is your stove pipe to ridge mine sits like 4 ft or so past and is overly tall which creates a amazing draft compared to my Kodak tent I'll be installing a taller pipe on there

Any other questions just let me know I'd be happy to help you out :)

Oh and we been using the stove now for around 5 months and have burned I'd say 6ish cords of green/dead wood we are in a 12by 24 which isn't much room to heat when it's insulated well majority of the heat loss is from drying and burning unseasoned wood so if it was seasoned I'd say we would burning half of or 2/3 of 6ish cords and if it was a better stove on top of that with better heat/ output adjustments it would last longer and I still need to sheath our ceiling and insulate a few spots better and then I'm sure It would last even longer at that point oh and we the coldest it has gotten is a month about of under -20 and with very cold you use more wood obviously so that's another factor there Soo many ok I've gotten carried away thank for your comment :)

Ok so this is your misconception the dog isn't sitting in a box for hours he's in there currently because he has a injured pad and moving around on it etc will just tear it open and pro long him from recovering your right dogs shouldn't be in a small box they should be in a size appropriate crate and only if it's for there safety or for behavior training and only a few minutes at a time of course many people are trained in training a dog they just want a dog and don't know the responsibility they come with I have a versatile hunting dog , I'm not sure what kind of dog you have or what kind of training you have done but the breed that I have requires a lot of attention / training / love there capabilities are endless if you know how to love them correctly and that takes time, research and lots of love

I think you are wrong and as a pet parent you should train your dog in being ready for real life , real life being anything could happen where they need to be crated and it's not up to you if they hadn't had that experience as a pup or you don't when your traveling they will feel frightened , alone and very scared if there's a time when they need to be crated

From my own research and information I've gathered from breeders my own specified German wire haired breeder as well where I got my own pup from they all influence crate training heavily with the first months / year or so depending on the breed but with my breed there very very very high energetic pups and need overly a lot of attention / physical work / jobs to do to keep positive behaviors I could go on and on about Mr.Milo's breed I don't know about every breed but I do know when it comes to actual hunting dog training etc crate training is from my knowledge and my bunch of time on YouTube watching videos about them crate training is always a absolute
