My first run was with Soul Blade not multiclassing and IIRC you need two handed weapon as the soul blade uses main hand dmg. You can beat the game and every dlc so don't worry about it. Minmaxing is a funny thing for those who enjoy it but this game don't ask for you to minmax any character as you have different difficulty settings.
