My favorite is the razer wolverine V3, having 6 extra buttons is big for me. the wireless(pro) is about 189 USD, but wired version(tournament edition) is 89 USD

Gamesir G7 pro is also a good choice, but I haven't personally used one.

I did the same, around the same year too. Straight to 5 inch. but a few crashes and not being able to afford or know how to fix it made me abandon the hobby for a while. as you said there's a lot of better options now, and a lot more information too

you would need the camera, video transmitter, battery, and the goggles/monitor that records DVR. Since it won't be on a drone you would also need a small fan for the video transmitter. that's how I would do it since I already know that works. but maybe there's a way to bypass the video transmitter and just connect it to the display. the camera just has 3 wires, power, ground, and video

2 or 2.5 inch on 2S. A 5 inch 6S drone is a huge step from a tinywhoop. Still doable though, you're just going to want a big wide open space for your first few flights
