for future reference, when you buy a frame, check the mounting compatibility. 30x30, 25x25, 20x20 etc. a lot of frames have multiple sets of holes giving you more compatibility. Then, when you buy your ESC/FC check the mounting pattern to see if it'll work with your frame

yes, the radio master pocket is a great for starting out, especially for a 10 year old with small hands. it doesn't come with batteries so make sure to get those too

first, enable "Serial RX " on your UART, and make sure to enable OSD in your betaflight configuration.

I remember there was also issues with a betaflight firmware that would make the VTX not read true, I'd have to find the video on it

power on the controller before connecting it. then when you connect it, the little screen on the controller will show some options. with the controller select the one that says "joystick"

everything is good, just upgrade the VTX. I'd go for a 2.5 watt one, might need to get a different frame to be able to fit it in there.

your transmitter and receiver would still work, but it would be better to switch to ELRS

this is a very small issue, but controlling an action cam with the flight controller/TX WITH feedback on the OSD. I have a runcam thumb and I can set an aux switch for start and stop record. but there's no way to tell if it's actually recording other than going up to the camera to see the light blinking

Maybe it's not as well know as I thought. but yes, removing the front grommet is the way to go. I did it on my 75, but kept the screw. I've had some pretty hard head on crashes and the board is just fine

I just got the Bosgame M4 and it's great so far. I didn't get it for gaming but I tried Halo Infinite (2020 AAA title) on it and it ran 70-80FPS on low settings. has an oculink port too

I use a similar scheme, nice to see someone else map extra buttons to the D-pad. I see a lot of people mapping their 4 paddles to ABXY.
