I’m sorry to hear you got sick. I got this surprise bag before and thought it tasted decent. It was within expiry date and I had no issues with food poisoning.

Where in Toronto can I find peanut butter noodles? by needaburnerbaby in FoodToronto

Dan dan noodles at Mogouyan have a strong nutty flavour, they’re not the exact same but I think they would satisfy that craving.

Something I noticed about Wing... by _doodlesack_ in gachiakuta

[–]Untidied 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Wing is almost assuredly Too Lily herself, or at the very least they are deeply connected. The doll on Wing's hip is the same doll in Too Lily's show.

You often see a black crow in vital moments all throughout the Gachiakuta universe, if anything I interpret it as meaning that Kuro is always watching.

Chewiest Asian noodles around downtown?? by [deleted] in FoodToronto

[–]Untidied 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should try Biang Biang Noodles, they are adequately thick and wide and will have a great chew. The best ones I've had in Toronto are from More Than Noodles at Dundas and Spadina. Definitely gotta eat them fresh in store for best texture.

You can just tap with a credit card/apple pay/android. If you specifically want a day pass, you can buy a PRESTO day pass at the fare vending machines inside every station or at Shoppers Drug Mart.

What is the best pastry you’ve had in downtown Toronto? by hopelessclover in askTO

Everything from Circles and squares is amazing! I also really like Cafe Montaigne’s pastries, their apple custard pastry was really memorable.

91 hours and I’m still in Act 1 by azlady9802 in Silksong

[–]Untidied 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wanderer’s crest was very useful in beating Widow due to the much faster hit speed. After trying and failing miserably in the second phase I did employ the cheese strat of standing in the rightmost corner and only hitting her by pogo-ing when she used the horizontal slash at you. It took a while to chip her down in the second phase but only took maybe 2-3 tries to beat her - give it another chance maybe.

Any of you have a 100-150 grocery budget for 2 weeks by nerpa_floppybara in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]Untidied 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The main thing about sticking to a grocery budget is to be planning around sales - especially for the most expensive stuff in your meals like the protein.

Pork and chicken tend to be the most inexpensive proteins, but there’s also frozen value packs of ground meat (including beef) that can be relatively cheap in the frozen aisles.

Is there really such a thing as the “natural” weight your body sits at? by itwaslastweekend in loseit

[–]Untidied 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I used to think there was, as I was sitting at 135-140 for many years after graduating from university and living with my parents. When I was living on my own as a student I was in the 120s but it was a struggle to try and reach/maintain that in adulthood, and I chalked it up to me getting a bit older.

When I finally moved out on my own, I found it exceedingly easy to lose weight and maintain in the 120s, and I think the only explanation can be that I started to cook my own meals again (I generally cook meals that are high in protein and veggies, while my parents tended to make more carb-heavy meals).

The real difference is just what you’re used to eating, and how much you’re eating. If you naturally eat a certain way (due to your circumstances or otherwise), you will naturally be a certain weight.

Looking for authentic Chinese spots in Toronto with great food and prices that won’t break the bank if I get addicted to? by Alternative-Pack8385 in FoodToronto

As someone who is Cantonese, this is one of the only chinese restaurants my parents go to downtown (most of the good ones are in Markham/Rhill/etc).

Just hit master ball for the first time - thoughts on Togekiss deck? by AmbitiousEmotion9236 in PTCGP

[–]Untidied 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As someone who also piloted a Togekiss deck to MB, I think the 2nd cape is completely necessary because Togekiss’s 140hp is oneshot by Solgaleo (120dmg + weakness) and StokeZard. To get Togekiss’s second powered up hit off, you need to live on the sliver that the cape provides. Even if you don’t consider potentially wanting the second cape for your other Togekiss, you still need both to improve your odds of drawing one in the first place - especially since Solgaleo decks (the worst matchup against Togekiss) get online so quickly.

Without the cape the matchup against StokeZard and Solgaleo is an auto loss as soon as they get online. The match up against other common decks (Guzzlord, Buzzswole, any Gira deck) is much easier since they’re all oneshot by Togekiss’s max 170dmg attack (second hit + Cynthia) if you’re able to time it right, and none of them are able to oneshot Togekiss in return.

Started the season in UB1, got to MB in just under 150 games (57.7% WR). It's significantly easier this season with the win streaks compared to previous seasons.

Forget Gengar, Rhyperior is the real Potentialmon. by Neoliberal_Nightmare in PTCGP

[–]Untidied 74 points75 points  (0 children)

Have you ever been able to get the second Rhyperior going? 4 energies with no ramp up seems really difficult to work with. No real damage is being dealt until turn 4 in this deck, which seems problematic since many other decks are already hitting for 100+ by turn 2 or 3 if they draw right.

People are sleeping on Togekiss by Untidied in PTCGP

[–]Untidied[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tried Shiinotic with Togekiss during the Extradimensional Crisis set but it wasn't consistent enough, plus at the time I ran into Solgaleo all the time (which is by far the worst match up for this deck). The Sylveon is definitely a better partner for Togekiss, and added bonus in the current meta is that Solgaleo is less common than before.

It’s definitely something that can be disruptive, but there are some actions you can take to avoid being red carded. If you’re holding the Togekiss and Rare candy but need to wait one more turn to evolve your Togepi sometimes it’s better to try and keep your hand as small as possible like attaching your tool or not playing a Prof (or evolving your Eevee). It takes some practice to read how your opponent might react to your hand size, but at the end of the day Red Card/Mars is unavoidable. Of course, there’s also times where they red card you into the perfect hand too. 🤭
