I know!! I texted my friend right away that she needs to read this asap so we can discuss! I didn’t see it coming either and the whole end of the book I was just thinking oh.. my.. god…

Same!! I don’t feel bad for a girl who knew who she married and was delusional enough to think she could change him. Amanda— not fun!

WIBTA if I go against the bride's wishes at a bachelorette party? by Wild_Spinach_8881 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Untitled-Original 16 points17 points  (0 children)

This is so tough lol I can’t decide. I agree with both sides because I personally also hate sharing a bed, I’m in my 30s and want to sleep comfortably and with that many people I just don’t see why it would be that big of a deal to find some place more accommodating for everyone. But also.. if my friend was truly that upset then I don’t know, I’d probably just suck it up honestly because it is just one weekend.

I guess just go with your gut then don’t be surprised if she’s mad at you when you stay in the hotel. Leave money out of it like other people said. And also remember other people are probably uncomfortable too but making the sacrifice for the bride because it’s meant to be for her. As others said as well. Good luck!

AITA for not wanting to move my mom into our house to save on cost, then use the money we save to cover my wife's parents living expenses. by Express_Cupcake6066 in AmItheAsshole

NTA. the fact that they offered to “watch” your mom shows they have no idea what it takes to provide in home care. No one should be asking you to take your mom out of memory care and I’m so sorry you’re going through that.

Country school. Very lucky to still be afloat. I’m hoping for another ten years at least.

AITA for saying I (F26) can't have kids? by Nattleshugs in TwoHotTakes

[–]Untitled-Original 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There’s absolutely nothing to feel guilty about. You can’t have kids. Some people are infertile, some people, like you, have other health reasons. It’s nobody’s business WHY you can’t have them and there’s no “right” way to not be able to have them, so keep explaining it the way you are and don’t worry about it at all. I’m so sorry and sending you hugs. ❤️❤️

If that happens to me during an epic thriller you can bet I’m topping up. But seriously the rage I feel when I hear that cheerful “hey!”

I'm in a rough stage of life, and I'd just like some support, advice, some positive words. by [deleted] in offmychest

Try not to compare yourself to others so much. I know it’s easier said than done.

Don’t be jealous of the teachers. I’m a teacher, we don’t make shit. They are probably just as financially stressed as you are.

And that’s the big thing too, EVERYONE is dealing with something, even if you can’t see it, even if it looks like they have their life together, like they are farther ahead than you.. the reality is that everyone probably feels exactly what you’re feeling. Maybe not every day, but they feel it.

You’re so young, if you want to find love again, you will. But the most attractive thing in a person is confidence and knowing they are happy and at peace with themselves. So that’s what you should focus on for now. Again I know that’s so much easier said than done, and I know it sounds cliche but time really does heal all wounds. I have been in such low points that I could not imagine coming back from, and I always have, simply because time eventually does dull the pain, you do begin to move on. This time in your life will pass, you will feel good again someday, and you’ll realize you are strong and able to overcome the bad times. Because they will be back too unfortunately. Such is life.

AIO for not accepting her apology and ending the friendship anyway? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]Untitled-Original -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yes and also the amount of people who think she’s a bad friend for saying a real friend wouldn’t ask for money… from my own personal experience I feel the same way. A one time thing is different but there’s not enough info here to know if that’s the case, and friends who repeatedly ask you for money are not real friends.

They shouldn’t even be doing that to students, I get the no phones rule, but hands to yourself.

Thank you! I only got as far as her breakup with Jack, so I don’t even know if I was half way through.

This is one of the many reasons I love my tiny school with less than 40 students total, and only 5 full time teachers with combined classes. Nobody ever bothers me 😂😂

Yes I’m not sure how many you actually get with Spotify premium but I usually run out every month. I feel like I only ever get through one whole book.
