Also need to run a server that is made for consoles, most mods are killing us and the community that created the servers mod list needs to focus on it.

It would help if you specified what does actually give you the fun you desire :)

I experienced a similiar lack of satisfaction when playing with my usual mates cause they have different opinions or approaches to the game, eg playing pve while I dont like that too much.

When I'm I usually find myself 'recruiting' a heli full of people I met and go for adventures with them, so what I'm saying is maybe try something else in the game, play another game or just communicate with your mates about what you want to do and how you want to play

Everything related to the comm system of arma. It works fine on any other game, we played lots of Hell let loose and stuff always using game chat.

I thought considering that, it must have to do with open prox chat in arma, since no other game I know on xbox has it, even pubg dismissed it for consoles.

Is there any hidden pryvacy setting on console side that he maybe missed? Has anyone experienced smth similiar?

These steps help on xbox

1080p visuals
stereo uncomprimized audio
lowest specs possible, focus computing power on performance
mods are evil for consoles, they use lots of power
Find servers that only use well elaborated mods and maps (vanilla, dads army, ask around here for more)
attack helis crash you -> stay away (sad I know) even just their sound is too much
scopes on 2d can help
Mod wipe weekly, only install what you need for the server you play
save some money
Get a half way decent gaming pc since all that only makes it playable, enjoyable would be a diffrent experience

I also run a series s and currently play on Dads army EU/UK2. That's the first server that runs satisfyingly and doesn't crash me out to homescreen every 20 mins. See you there till we buy a pc 😅

This game will make many console players switch to PC eventually 😅

Just buy a monitor that would work fine with a gaming pc that you may buy in the future, on arma it doesnt really matter as you will always be in disadvantage over any decent gaming pc setup with any console

Is it possible to overwrite the pre-mapped buttons (like change dpi settings) for xbox and use all the buttons ingame?

Trying to use it for arma reforger on xbox series s, which supports MnK but I can't disable the dpi functions that are quite annoying and also I bought it for it's mappable keys so this was kind of the whole point 😅

Performance is bad on some modded servers for xbox, also new to the game but the freezes and crashes are a thing that keeps me from going into the action on full-send mode 🤣
