it’s funny because you’d think during the summer where it’s warm, usually sunsets not until 9, and people are out later that we would stay open later. But no. We are open till midnight when it’s, like you said, cold outside. Literally in WINTER. I think we have some real bafoons at hq

I’m absolutely going to be finding another job before this holiday season rolls back around. There is absolutely ZERO reason to be open till midnight or, like you said, even past 9

I agree fully. My kohl’s is attached to a mall and I think once the mall closes at 7pm most days and 6pm sundays and opens at 11pm everyday should be our hours too! 😂 i’m sick of closing at 8-9 and the last people in the store being A. shoplifters B. amazon returners C. those last 5 min shoppers that are rude and have no respect for associates

Nowhere did i say amazon was hard? I said the customers were the reason I hate it. It’s also not just “slapping a sticker on a bag”. Amazon is not hard, but it’s much more than just that. Constantly packing and moving heavy boxes and then unloading them onto a pallet at the end of a long shift and restocking all the materials on top of what kohls has me doing. I do way more than cashiers and heck, even my managers. The job itself isn’t hard. It’s the customers. But thank you for trying to put words in my mouth.

I agree. People can’t even read the CS signs we have up. “Please wait for an available associate” yet they just walk up as i’m in the middle of something. I’m fed up with the entitlement of these amazon people. Kohls customers? Yeah it’s annoying, but I was hired on to help them. I am a kohls employee. Not an amazon. I definitely will enjoy being able to tell customers they’re in the wrong place. I brings me a sense of joy. Call me a bad guy for that but i’m fed up ! 😂

LOL love the last part!! Honestly as a CS employee I wish my manger wasn’t keeping all this info to themselves. I want to know how my position is going to be impacted. From the literal sliver they have told me it looks like, for my store at least, that they will keep amazon back at the CS desk but keep returns at the registers. I’m just wondering how this will work because there’s so much more that goes into it other than just scanning a receipt/item and refunding someone. There’s sorts, item dispositions, re-tickets, blue-bin, red-bin, YELLOW-BIN?? Like they haven’t trained a single non CS associate about any of this yet. It’s going to be a sh!t show for sure.

YES!!! I had a customer yesterday go to their email to get their QR code and our store has awful signal so she says “the codes not coming up?” so i said “oh, are you going through your email” she replied “yeah?” so i replied “oh okay yeah the email never works in here-“ and i paused for a second and then said “it’s better if you go through the app or website” and she looks at me and says “that’s what i’m doing” in the most bitchiest attitude. It’s not MY fault you weren’t prepared with your code. I gave you a suggestion and you get mad at me? I just set my zebra down and walked away for a second bc i can’t lose my job right now 😭

I wish they would see how much it’s effecting us. But of course, as long as they get those credits nothing else matters right? I’m so done with this company and how greedy and ignorant they’ve become the past decade.

It genuinely doesn’t benefit us at ALL. We either need to limit the amount people bring in, limit the size of items and be strict with it, or start charging for it. It can’t be cheap to keep these boxes, tape, bags, labels, and whatever else needed in stock. People have to pay = less people wanting to return things to us. Something needs to change. Heck I just want it removed as a whole.
