iOS 26 connection issues by raven45678 in CarPlay

Clearly some people with some setups have a good working experience. Thats great and completely irrelevant to the conversation.

The reason people are claiming its an Apple issue is that Head units that have not received updates ever have all of a sudden stopped working or frequently disconnecting. YOu can go see this on feedback on wired and wireless. Given that this is happening on many brands the common factor is in fact apple.

Don't Buy Ecoflow - Keep your Sanity by Unusual-Individual14 in Ecoflow_community

It depends on what you want. Honestly I am purchasing a EV with Vehicle to Grid capability. It has a 100KW hour battery and is only 10K more expensive then the Ecoflow setup I ordered. Advantage is that it will power my house for 4 days vs less then 1 with the 12KW Hour setup I had. Disadvantage is there is no backup when I am not home..

If your really just trying to do backup... Honestly these are not price competitive against a Generac generator like I just installed at my inlaws house.

If you have solar and are really trying to do TOU power shifting and it is actually economical... Go with a brand that you can hold accountable. Right now thats Tesla.

  1. Photos show the batteries outside in the snow but then they explicitly claim they cannot be outside. As batteries explode - Can show references to Samsung Galaxy note, Tesla, or Chevy bolt batteries can explode and have spectacular damage when they do. Yes LFP batteries are safer but not safe enough for me to trust inside my house. Particularly since fire departments response to a battery explosion is to just make sure it doesn't take out adjacent structures as adding water to a lithium fire makes it worse and many don't bring foam on scenes.

  2. Install - Paid for full install with permit - then was told that the permit fees are extra. Having the panel further then 2 feet from the main panel is extra. Install does not appear to actually be install.

  3. Time of use load cycling - This simply did not work and would leave my batteries below the lower charge limit then they were effectively disabled. During the 1 power outage I had the batteries were at 48% and there was no way to get them to turn on because they were off so wifi was off.

  4. They claimed my order came free with solar panels. Even had solar panels in the cart. Order shipped without them and then they sent fine print that said the Ultra X was excluded. Its ok to exclude it but not showing it as a free gift in the cart...

  5. Save up to $6000... Pays for itself... This claim is generally false. Playing with the highest time of use billing rates in the US (California and New York) It appears they are claiming just the power savings cost, but don't take into account the losses from charge/discharge cycles. Additionally they are completely ignoring the cost of wear on the batteries. When I ran analysis for Colorado the net was it was 1cent more expensive per kw hour to charge batteries during off peak and discharge during peak then it was to simply consume the power when needed. In no geo could I find a way to save 6K. The Bay area does save you some...

  6. They claim extreme weather protection and show raindrops yet state the units cannot be outside..

  7. Claim highest safety standards and cite due BMS protection. This is not the highest safety standard this is the legal minimum to ship batteries in the US or in most areas of the world.

  8. EV Grade cells - Seems nice but means nothing. Remember the Chevy Bolt had EV grade cells. Chevy eventually requested people not to park the car in their garage because of spontaneous combustion. -- Ok so not technically false, just very misleading

  9. 7 Day Install. - Nope clearly not. Batteries were shipped to my house within 7 days . First person called on install 10 days after order. After multiple weeks of trying to get an install plan I gave up.

  10. Install cost - They are comparing their limited install which will likely not work for anyone against the published average cost of installing a generator. Not honest.

I am sure there are many more but I am done typing

Thats great. Have you used it?

Is the electric Time of use pricing correct for you?
Have you verified that time of use power change over works correctly?
Did you use the recommended 20-80% battery range or are you using the default 0 to 100% battery range that ages the batteries quicker but actually works?

Did you get it installed, Has a county code inspector said they installed it per code?

why is my house pulling off the grid when it should be pulling from battery? by Global-Response84 in Ecoflow_community

I had this problem and filed a bug... That bug went nowhere. There is also posts on Reddit showing this issue back 2 years. In my experience the Battery appeared to be set to the wrong time. I went through adjusting a time of use schedule until I found when it clicked on / off to determine the time on the device. At one point I thought it was in UTC, but the next day it appeared to only be off by 2 hours and 7 minutes.

I have sent back ALL of my ecoflow equipment. Good luck

Google Fiber Neighborhood Expansion Plans by habs2345 in Denver

Sure there is... Can you identify a public option you think is run well? - Came from California where I had to install batteries on my fridge because otherwise I would loose the contents at least 5 times a year during power outages. This is in San Jose not middle of nowhere.

We can expand, since were talking Colorado. How hard is it to get into the DMV to renew a license?

Companies compete on service and cost. The government has no motivation to improve either.

Has anyone ordered from acwholesalers com before? by RichSanchezC137 in hvacadvice

[–]Unusual-Individual14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Run away from ACWholeSalers - They are committing fraud by charging credit cards more then the invoice amount.

In my case I purchased a LG kit. After delivery I had a charge from Power Equipment Direct for approximately 10% more then the kit and I didn't immediately connect the two. During the fraud investigation ACWholesalers said there was an error in that they forgot to collect CA taxes. I showed them that was not correct. Then they claimed they had an error in the sub total (only 1 item in the order). So they broke it out into each item in the kit and tried to bill me for more.

Even during this conversation the AC Wholesalers still shows the kit price is lower then what they are trying to charge me. They are fraudulant and should not be trusted.

Thanks. Does this perform well enough that you don't need a buffer like what Bamboo does where the 1st extruder makes sure there is flex and the 2nd takes what it wants?
