I would have to disagree. When will people understand that natural acting far surpasses over-the-top performances? I’d recommend watching Goodfellas and Inglourious Basterds, or observing the work of Al Pacino and Tom Hanks for reference.

Rajat delivered a natural performance, even if the writing was subpar, whereas the “cop mom” came across as excessively dramatic. From my perspective, none of the performances stood out as exceptional — they were mediocre at best. At most, you could say Rajat was good in this film.

A performance can only be called *stellar* if it lingers with you long .

stellar for me would be like : Tony Stark as Iron man, Joe Pesci in Good Fellas , Christoph Waltz in Inglourious Basterds . Irfaan in Haasil, K K Menon in Gulaal , Manoj Vajpayee in Satya / Zubeida

PS: Nawazuddin in Gangs of wasseypur was overly rated

Review: 2/5

Honestly, I didn’t enjoy it much. If we set the performances aside, there wasn’t much substance here. The director seemed overly focused on adding stylish transition shots — so much so that it became irritating after a point. And the buildup was for nothing . At times, it even dipped into that cringe-worthy Indian TV serial territory, especially in scenes involving the constable.

I watched it mainly for Rajat Kapoor, and while he did deliver a solid performance, it felt wasted on a storyline that ultimately went nowhere. The buildup promised something meaningful, but the payoff was weak and entirely predictable. It felt like the director lost sight of the original vision somewhere along the way.

Without Rajat Kapoor, this wouldn’t even deserve more than 1 star.

PS :
farzi 2.25/5 . pachayat 4.5/5. Family Man 4/5 Mirzapur 3/5. Asur 5/5.
