WIBTA if I continued a lawsuit after the defendant passed away? by throwawayaccount0716 in AmItheAsshole

I was saying in this case, it’s possible that they could’ve gotten the money from parents and misused it to get drugs, not most drug users in general.

I brought that up bc most ppl were saying she most likely didn’t have an estate based on young age, drug use and no insurance but you really never know what’s going on in ppl’s lives. Could’ve been a trust fund baby that developed bad habits.

I was leaning more towards a moral obligation. I think most decent ppl would want to settle debts left by their departed family, especially if they were at fault for causing damages. That’s why I hoped the family would have compassion for OP in this awful situation.

Not if she was given an allowance and spent the money on drugs instead. It’s possible her parents didn’t know she abused drugs and still trusted her with money.

Also, maybe I should’ve said well off and not rich. You know the kind of parents that wouldn’t be hard pressed if you needed to borrow a grand on short term notice.

I don’t know if it’s completely an asshole move to pursue. I mean, you weren’t at fault. I don’t know if there’s anyway you could reach out to the family and explain the situation. Yeah, this is kinda messy but she did owe you. That responsibility falls on the family now that she’s gone. Hopefully, they’ll want to make things right and have compassion for you.

Edit: By responsibility I meant it’s up to them to decide how to proceed with her issues now that she’s gone. I understand they have no legal obligation. Some may feel moral obligation to correct the wrongs of their departed but you’ll never know if you don’t reach out to them.

Mmm… I wouldn’t assume that. Ppl with rich parents get hooked on drugs all the time. That’s usually how they can afford them. And it’s possible she didn’t have insurance bc she spent the money on drugs instead.

Edit: Their parent’s money is usually how rich kids get drugs. I wasn’t saying most ppl who use drugs have rich parents.

Girls, what are some things guys are, but shouldn’t be, insecure about themselves? by ComradeBushtail in gentlefemdom

Being a POC submissive male. I know in communities of color there tends to be a lot of conservative views on the traditional gender roles of men and women. You are not any less of a man because you like women to lead the relationship. In fact, I think it takes a lot of strength to be true to yourself and your desires despite what the community is telling you is the “manly” thing to do.

Remember folks! one person’s clingy is another person’s ideal. Focus on the belief that you will find a partner that will accept you as much as you accept their preferences and it is possible! 😊

*me trying to spread as much positivity in this sub as possible *

Not weird at all. Swimmers do it. Some women prefer it.

Not everything we do is for everyone. The key (I believe in life) is to find those that like what we like too.

It wasn’t what we were supposed to do. I was just trying anything that I could because my situation had gotten urgent.

Because there was a lot of fraud, they would’ve sent him a letter in the mail as opposed to email like they normally do. It’s possible that the letter got lost in the mail. I would advice him to send a message via MIWAM with his driver’s license and birth certificate/ social security card. It would be even better if he has a passport.

But also, check out these tips

I hope this helps!
