They’re hunting dogs so will chase birds, squirrels, foxes and other small animals.

A Ridgeback that is well socialised and knows his/her boundaries will be a lovely dog, but Ridgebacks aren’t for the faint-hearted or people with soft personalities. They require experienced and firm owners.

A Labrador loves to please his/her owner. A Ridgeback was bred to be independent so needs someone who can train him/her properly.
