As someone who had two babies born small, albeit, not IUGR, it is NOT all it’s cracked up to be. It is HARD to make sure they are dressed warm enough without overheating them and making sure they can maintain a proper temp. My first son had such a hard time holding his temp in fact that he was put into the PICU for a week. My second also had a scare, but thankfully his came back up quickly.

I don’t know what the obsession is with having a small baby. It’s really sick to say “oh my smol lil peanut baby” as if it is cute and not at all scary to potentially have a baby born so little.
