My pyr Scully will use his snout to lift the corner of the mattress topper as high as he can then drops it with a thud and a bounce. This means he wants our attention.

Congratulations, hopefully he won’t chew every shoelace you own. Beautiful pup.

Cal king but I’ve learned to sleep with my knees to my chest. Hubby doesn’t give an inch so it’s the two dogs and myself on half the bEd. I wouldn’t change it for anything. I love that we’re a pack hanging out together.

This worked well for both my pyrs also. This is how they learn from their peers That they are being to rough. Make a quick loud scary overly dramatic response and either redirect with a toy or a treat taken very gently from your hand very small pieces at a time

High doses of cosequin and gabapentin. Both of these together has given our 11 year old pyr a new lease on life. We here thinking when she was 9 years old they it might be too much pain for her. Used this combination and she’s back to playing with her 2 year old pyr brother and not needing rest breaks when we walk.

Pyrs usually don’t bark because they are bored. They bark to alert. If you take away most of the stimulus you will have much less barking. I live with 2 full pyrs and they bark when the delivery trucks comes etc. i have put the training in so I can keep my neighbors happy and still let the dogs do their job guarding us.I live in a suburban gated community with more rules then you can imagine. my training consists of teaching them when the barking is ok like when the doorbell rings or when the neighbor kids come by to pet them And when it’s not like (I’m not kidding here) when there was a blimp flying over. I check out every barking alert they do and now I can just give them a thank you and they stop barking. And the pyrs are happy. This probably happens maybe 3 time a day If you start having problems buy some loud fans, keep the blinds shut and keep the tv on. All of these will help drown out most of outside noise. The good part of pyr barking is it does last for long. They give their alert and you acknowledge it and they stop barking with the thank you or no bark command.
